Thanks for making this! I was looking for an explanation of this gospel chant style to explain it to people who have never attended a Catholic service.

No offence. This organ accompaniment detracts from the the chant melody too much with the long spicy dissonance. So much so that if the organ is 50% the loudness vs the voices, the melody is already easily lost.

Am so greatful for these English language Chants. I have been exploring the world of Gregorian chant and this is the best resource I have found!

After the very emotionally hard good Friday observance of the Lord's passion. Entering into the Easter vigil. After the exultet and the multiple readings. When the water is blessed with the Pascal candle. Priest proceeds to bless the congregation. Choir breaks out into Vidi Aquam. Even a riff Raff like me submits and surrenders. It is inspiring but also surreal.

Why is the first note of "te" in "benedicite" so long? I think it sounds pretty that way, but the written notes don't look like that to me.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

What a STUPID TITLE. The video has NOTHING to do with Francis. In fact Francis has been recorded on video as Bishop in Buenos Aires passing Eucharist out into peoples hands who in turn passed it to someone else and so on and so forth in large crowds with zero respect. Instead Francis kneels before & kisses the feet of Muslims & recently African politicians but he will not bow to Christ & he makes sure that the Traditional mass of the ages, the only mass that makes kneeling before Christ the king compulsory… is banned.
