Both are really, really good, thanks for the listen! For me it would come down to if I needed the extra features of one effect vs the other, cost, and CPU % usage. These days, I tend to avoid CPU and memory hogs whenever possible with most plugins. Some VSL instruments are a rare exception for me because their sound is just that good. 🤩

As far as I know, there is a free trial available for both the Softube and the UAD reverbs.

Hey everyone! I just purchased a Tegeler VTC compressor from germany and it just came in today. I have a few questions that are urgent so I can use it! First, It came with a euro power cord. Can I simply switch this out for an amaerican power cord? It also came over with different fuses by default. Which fuse should I buy so it work? I've already switched the voltage to 115v, but I am afraid to try and power it on without the first two questions answered. Can someone PLEASE HELP!!!

Sorry for the slow reply - they are very different EQs, so I can't say I prefer one or the other. But I use the TK-lizer 2 on every master, and that is the only of my hardware pieces I can say that about. The Mid/Side function is very useful.

I like it! Came looking for a song by a teacher of mine but glad I found this! Swede hollow by Tim Brown is a good song as well and is all acoustic guitar and vocals by him.

I saw these guys live some years ago in Southampton or was it Portsmouth? I can't remember because it was a while back. Anyway, they are/were one of the best (for want of a better description) unsigned bands I have ever seen. You guys made my night, and I still have the CD I bought and love listening to this track. Thanks.

Thank you! Yes, it is an Oktava MK-012, through a Golden Age Premier PRE-73, Tegeler Vari Tube Compressor and Tegeler EQP-1 EQ. Plus the K&K Pure Mini pickup recorded too, and both signals blended.

I think it is a variation on the low-bass G tuning, but with a second/ninth instread of a third, if I remember correctly. For example in G, that would be D-G-D-G-A-D. But it seems like I tuned to A flat in this video. Thanks for the interest!

This for me, is the most atmospheric of all the "moody" lap steel/dobro/Weissenborn composition to be found on KZbin. BTW, what tuning is being used?
