@@wonghim thank you. This looks very cool. I just purchased the same board with 75l at a weight of 78kg. It's my first smaller board, coming down from 95l. Do you think this is a good volume for me, or should I go lower already? (I am intermediate, just learned to jibe)
@wonghim Жыл бұрын
@Justin Case depends on how strong the wind in your area. If it's quite steady at around 12-20knot, 75L is a good enough volume I suggest it's better to have gybe and tack are confident enough first before switching into small board. It is easier to use 75L for relaunch and rebouce up from water better after touchdown so that you can keep the efficiency for practice. But of course if the wind is steadily strong enough and easy for your smaller board relaunch, then you can just use a smaller board

Thank you, that makes total sense. The wind is unsteady between 8 and 15 (inland river and lake). I'll stay on the 75 till I get better, thanks again for the advice 👍✌️

There are 6.2 and 6.4 sizes Which one is easier to flat-foil with a paddle?
@wonghim Жыл бұрын
Depends on your balance and weight, 6’2 is easier for me

Thanks for your comment I weigh 73kg and practice flat foil with Takuma 5.8 and Gofoil Mariko 280. it's quite difficult I would like to challenge with AFS6.2 next time
is this the 6'2 , 90l? what is your weight? how hard to start?
@wonghim Жыл бұрын
Yes, 6'2 but I was told it is 95L, And I'm 72kg With proper foot pumping skill and j stroke paddling skill, Using axis png 1310 or 1300 is quite easy to start I'll test some other foils Such as Konrad cs 1850 with hs230 tail is easy to paddle up too, need more speed but maybe easier to cross swell in front

@@wonghim cool! I am 73kg but have never supfoiled before but am experienced wingfoiler since 3 years. Would like to take the kujira 1440 for downwind. And also for very light wind winging.Some supsurf experience but that was on a 120l board, 8'32'😂😂😂... The big foil might help in the lat. Balance though

@@dirkpetersen8705 short mast and short fuselage is easier for foot pumping too
You are doing a fantastic job. Congrat to the new world record. 🤙🏻

Actually a bit downwind surfing starting at around 4min. Also I heard the new foil pumping record is like 30min now, I can only say it is a Hong Kong record at this moment 🤣

@wonghim2 жыл бұрын
