I have the Vance & Hines Fuelpak and I loaded a new map to accomadate the Hi-Ouput Slip-Ons (also Vance & Hines) Does resseting the ECM also clears the new map?

Is there an alarm for saddle bags? From my point of view theft from storage is higher than a random derelict taking the bike. Not that motorcycle theft isn't an issue.

If all you do is local rides and poker runs, you need to condition your body to handle riding all day for several days in a row. Riding 4 to 5 hundred miles a day can start to take a toll on your body if you aren't used to it.

Ergos, ergos, ergos.... Bikes are basically made to fit the world's most average person. Most of us are taller, shorter, longer legged, shorter legged, etc. Bars, seat, pegs/floorboards, backrest... et all. I see a lot of folks make fun of cup holders on handlebars, but I assume they ride to the coffee shop and back. This time of year, having water at hand is super important. Love the video! Hope y'all are well!!

I just purchased a 2019 street glide and I was going down the road barely doing 30 and the little speed limiter light came on. I had no clue what it was and it took some diligent searching just to find out what it was. Idk why it came on. I turned the bike off for a minute and then turned it back on and it never came back on. Also my Reserve "R" was also on. Weird. I thought I needed gas but my gas hand was at half so it was a complete mystery. I was charging my phone through the "cigarette" lighter outlet while the bike was off for about 20 minutes while playing the radio. Idk if this had something to do with it or not.

Vernon I think this may help you Just reinstalled my Stock ECM on my '05 and I get no engine light and no Injector pump running. Battery was disconnected when I reinstalled. Is there a magic something I need to do when I reinstall the ECM. Checked the obvious, Battery and fuses...Any ideas?? Thanks Greg Just got off the phone with my Buddy at Harley and found out anytime that you disconnect the stock ECM from the system it has to relearn the password... Here's the process...I'll keep you posted.. Harley ECM Password Learn Procedure When installing a new ignition or ECM on a security-equipped Harley there is a "Password Learn" procedure that must be performed. This applies to all Twin Cam and V-Rod models with factory security but may also apply to Twin Cam's with EFI. The TSM/TSSM and ECM have "learned" passwords that synchronize the control module with several other components. Once you remove a component from this chain the module shuts down and won't start. This is reported to only occur with EFI models but the new 2004 carbureted models demonstrate the same shut-down when changing the ignition module. Once you have installed the ignition module and reconnected the battery, perform the starting sequence as normal. The engine will cough once in an effort to start but will fail when the module shuts off the fuelHelp!! Once you have installed the ignition module and reconnected the battery, perform the starting sequence as normal. The engine will cough once in an effort to start but will fail when the module shuts off the fuel74% off the fuel. Special Note: During the Password Learning procedure the ignition will remain in the "On" position for an extended period of time (30+ minutes). While "On", power is supplied to the headlight thus draining the battery. If the battery charge drops below a certain level during the Password Learn procedure the process will cease and you will have to start over. To avoid this connect a trickle charger to the battery throughout the procedure. Download the Password Learn procedure in PDF for printing. Step Action Confirmation Notes 1 Set Run switch to Run 2 Turn Ignition key On-Off-On-Off-On-Off-On and then toggle the Left Turn Signal switch twice. 3 Turn Ignition key Off-On Verify the Check Engine lamp and Security Lamp illuminate briefly and then turn off. Security lamp will not illuminate on non-security (TSM) Twin Cam models. 4 Attempt normal start one time. Engine starts and stalls immediately. check engine lamp stays on. Password has not been learned and sets trouble code P1009, thus stopping fuel flow. 5 Wait 10 seconds Security Lamp remains lit for V-Rod and TC88 with TSSM. Lamp will not be on for TC88 TSM models. ECM enters Password Learning mode for 10 minutes. Do Not cycle the ignition or disrupt power. 6 Wait until Security Lamp turns off or a minimum of 10 minutes has passed. 7 Quickly (within 2 seconds) turn Ignition key OFF-ON Security Lamp remains lit for V-Rod and TC88 with TSSM. Lamp will not be on for TC88 TSM models. 8 Wait until Security Lamp turns off or a minimum of 10 minutes has passed. Password Learning mode for 10 minutes. Do Not cycle the ignition or disrupt power. 9 Quickly (within 2 seconds) turn Ignition key OFF-ON Security Lamp remains lit for V-Rod and TC88 with TSSM. Lamp will not be on for TC88 TSM models. 12 Turn Ignition switch OFF. Wait 15 seconds. Turn Ignition switch ON and start engine to confirm the Password Learn Procedure is successful. Engine will start and remain running. If engine immediately stalls and fails to restart the procedure was not successful. Start over at step 1. The above steps must be timed and performed exactly as described. Anv deviation will require vou to start again from step 1. <

I know it's been a yr for you, and I'm sure by now you're still enjoying your super shoxs. I've had mine on my 2020 streetglide special for over a year, and what a difference it made. On the bumps and on the corners especially. I now have a 2023 and a half streetglide cvo and just installed them on it yesterday. So today, I will be giving them a test ride. Before watching, know that she provides a bad link to the tools. You need a torx set(T27 to be exact). I would say to use painters tape on the paint and chrome to avoid scratching it up. In the end she does not show you or mention how difficult it is to get the torx back in to remount the plate. It's such a tight working space, if you have fat or big fingers good luck. Glad she posted the video, hope this info helps the next guy.

I would be very careful bypassing a speed limiter on ANY vehicle. Aerodynamic limitations can, sometimes, become apparent PRIOR to motor (or nanny switch) limitations. I was issued a Chevy Caprice Classic with the LT1 package. Once you broke 115, you could feel it starting to "float". I pushed an old Virago into the 90's and got the tank slapper from hell. 100 mph for a new Harley would be Fn ridiculous, id be pissed BUT - YES, if you (the mfg) KNOW a bike is gonna basically come apart at a certain speed, PLEASE build something into it that PREVENTS me from reaching that speed 👍 I doubt very seriously this has a legal reason behind it. You can do 150 EASILY on a stock Gixxer. American? How about a new Vette. This isn't about gvt intrusion, this is something else.

You are only buying into the feeling that you are in some type of a family. You are only dollar signs, even to Matt. With Harley riders, they seem to go through it the worst. Pay to advertise the name, hang stuff in your house, floor mats, coats.... you name it. Why anyone wouldn't just get towing from their insurance is beyond me. I am not cool enough to have a HOG membership, I guess that is why.
