Holy frick I overall didn't feel too moved by this arrangement and generally prefer the Passacaglia one, but damn that end from 7:08 was so apotheotic I even felt like it totally deserved a picardy cadence at the end instead of in one of the middle variations.

The score seems to suggest placing the Intermezzo in 2nd place (I agree, the few recordings since this was finally completely published in the 1950s put the intermezzo in 3rd, including the one on mhs I have. Weird though.)

@@francescofgr 74 being the tempo speed - this one has 80 but, its actually not 80 it is exactly 63 - so 11 points too slow !! it loses a lot going so slow

You forgot it's also sexist because when describing the pianist I wrote "probably his mother" and that could imply that I don't validate her as a human being but only as a surrogate for her hypotetical son, which may or may not be the violinist himself. Of course I don't think all those terrible things, but I'm just saying that by only reading the description you could wrongly think that I do (but I don't) . Hope that next time you would be more precise with your criticism dear

La partie instrumental est vraiment décente, je peux comprendre qu’on ait du mal avec Norman, toute l’intonation est tellement basse ce qui pose pas mal de problème dans les moments d’unissons. Certainement une époque révolue ces voix énormes dans le lied
