Being in the army 7yrs, some of my best running was with 3.0s. Less pain and more cushion than any other shoe. And that attached top has saved my ankles when running in dirt and sand. You can jump in 3.0s and not feel the landing in your bones. The new flat foot 5.0s do not do the trick and the 4.0 seemed very heavy, while the 3.0s were super light, good for long runs. Your foot is a lever and you don’t what to be swinging your feet with bricks on the end.
