I see what you're doing with the thread and how you tide the end around the peg. I sent my question before I saw that part.

Hi Amy. Thank you for sharing your videos. I'm new to weaving. Out of all the videos I've seen, not just yours, I can not figure out how to start the loop to start warping the heddle on or off the loom. Do you have a video showing that angle?

Thank you so much for this series of videos. I'm a relatively new weaver, and this made a topic I thought would be intimidating into something that seems quite approachable. Thank you!!

Thx for taking the time to post these. Great explanation and I love your guide string method. One ideas is to use a different color guide string so it’s easy to see.

Im mainly a spinner but need little projects to use my yarn with. My main focus is home grown and processed fiber flax for the purpose of growing my own shirt. I have pretty much mastered the spinning of Linen and now I’m working on the weaving parts. I like the idea of little pot holders for taking to the farmers market. All natural and organically grown. I like this. Im going to give it shot.

Amy! I love the way you explain things. I also love that you are imaginative and flexible with the rigid heddle loom. I wonder if you can answer one question for me please...??? Off the back of watching this video, I bought the book by Anne Dixon. In this book she never specifically tells/shows how to thread after warping for a twill. I have scoured the internet and found how to do this (I think). It worked for my first project, but now I am attempting a second project and I can't understand at all what is going on. I have warped with a single colour, and was planning to do the 2/2 twill pattern on page 35 (the one in the middle). But I don't have a clue what is happening according to the weaving draft. What is it meant to be telling me by showing me a gap between the different picks? I get that the tie-up shows shafts one and two are up on that first pick. But which one is shaft one and which is shaft two. I don't know of any weavers in my area and am at my wits end. Please, please, please can you help? I was briefly shown how to use a warping board with my samplett loom but couldn't remember the details when I tried to do it. . Luckily I discovered your videos which are so helpful and easy to understand. I had been using a peg to warp my samplett loom and always seem to have trouble with the tension as well as having a lot of waste especially when doing a long warp. Using a warping frame is much easier. You are a great teacher and I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos.

Putting your heddles on that background wall or floor, you can't tell the difference between the heddles and the coloring background. Also speaking too fast and too much movement of heddles is making me dizzy.

For those looking for measurements: the square of pins should be 19x19cm with each pin 1cm apart. Make the board bigger, about 23-25cm square.
