I'm a tad confused. Typically, in case interviews, I'm of the understanding that you develop your market entry framework at the beginning of the case. How do you figure out the first two questions in a structured way before moving onto your market entry framework?

Thanks for the insightful video! I would like to suggest an alternative Market Entry Framework, and would love to hear your opinion: 1. Market dynamics: size and growth, market shares and the key success factor in the market. 2. Company: Investment feasibility (Does the client has enough cash or can he finance the entrance), success metric (profits/ROI, payback period), knowledge and fitness of the client. 3. Entering Strategy; Independently, acquisition, partnership 4. Risks & Capabilities What do you guys think? Worth mentioning: this framework is answering the question: "What factors should the client consider before entering this market?" If am being asked on the product itself, I should also mention value proposition of our client's product.
@HackingtheCaseInterview7 күн бұрын
You have a lot of great categories in your framework. You should ask yourself the question: what would you need to believe to be true in order to 100% recommend entering the market? This can help you identify any missing categories from your framework

Lol not everybody has had the opportunity to save $10m for AirBnB or increase Apple's revenue by $100m. I mean, it's plainly ridiculous to be interviewed for some cubicle job at god knows where when you've just made other companies hundreds of millions.

If we meet with an agressive interviewer, can we respond similarly to "Sir, let's not focus on myself, and instead let's try to solve the case. Based on what you are saying, we could try X, Y, ..."?
@HackingtheCaseInterview29 күн бұрын
That may be a bit too harsh. I would just try to acknowledge what the interviewer is saying and stay positive and flexible on solving the rest of the case!
@PayneMaximus29 күн бұрын
@@HackingtheCaseInterview It might sound harsh, yes. What I'm thinking is that it should be possible to state that you know they are being agressive on you and that attitude, if we were working on a real case, would be counterproductive. In a way, this would be a strategy to deflect the agressiveness and turn it into productivity. I know that in such a situation, I would like to persuade my team to move away from that confrontational attitude, so I was wondering if that would fit the interview.

But how do we know that how many cars are already registered or owned by a house hold ? As we know that 1/6th number of these total*4 are gonna replace their tyres, and if you use this registration approach, please share the complete solution so that we also know the other way of doing it thanks

I feel you overlooked an array of Variable Costs for the startup and operation. First off, IT infrastructure costs are not fixed -- they scale based on usage; the more drivers/riders, the greater the IT costs. Other variable costs would include: customer support (more customers & drivers = more issues reported; also need to also consider cost of supporting new native languages - French and possibly other European languages); paying for underlying software as a service such as maps API; taxes.
