Pete has always been my musical idol. He's an awesome song writer, performer, and a musical genius. I love listening to Pete interviews....it's almost like story time. Really enjoy listening to him. Long Live Rock!

Been teaching this one on drums for 20 years and I only came close to this naked and perfect take. I always taught something close to this but never like he does. Absolute underrated musician

This is hilarious even Bob and Matt can’t keep straight faces. I’m sure after a few seconds whatever script they had goes out the window they’re just both laughing and ad libbing. Matt especially at the end can’t hold it together!

I’m 50 odd. From 6 til 21 I wanted to be Keith Moon but Dad wouldn’t buy me drums. Been watching this kid ( probably not anymore) and am envious and proud of him. And the Moon

Comparing this w/ folks covering the studio version and maaaan. Young Keith is tighter in late '64, but also much less flashy. Just his posture in 1970 is different; this videos captures it well w/o going into an exaggeration of his expressions. Looser, galloping away, letting those wildebass(t) drums do a lot of the movement. Impressive reproduction of an infamously idiosyncratic style.

One of my favourite things about this sketch that often gets missed is when Matt Lucas’s character states angrily “Do you think I’m gonna shake your hand” and then he immediately shakes his hand 😂

John’s best ever performance hands down. He’s had great solos etc but to me this is the best he ever played in one song. No one can convince me otherwise. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

I could always tell ALan had a lot to offer Oasis in his drumming but a lot of it fell off after Mornign Glory where I think Noel directed him to play even simpler to not get in the way of his songs. Alan was clearly a good drummer when I heard his contributions on the Morning GLory album but his playing got so much more standard just keeping a standard beat... it must have drove him nuts

Love how utterly pointless this sketch is, both corpsing and deliberately ruining it for each other. Mild antagonism. Not shaking your hand, go on then let's shake hands. Nothing is resolved. Nothing was sold.
