I am convinced after watching this video that Brushos are the paints for me!! I loved how you created that vibrant background, which I never seem to get when simply blending inks. Also, I have tried alcohol inks and dare not tell you what an absolute mess I kept making!! Thank you so much, you made it look effortless!

My question is did you make the gel print on tag weight paper in the first place or did you make the gel print on COPY paper and then glue the tag to the gel print and trim the gel print to the tag? If you used heavy, tag weight paper to print gel prints, what WEIGHT of paper did you use and what BRAND? I would appreciate knowing these details, because it would really help my process.

I wear 5/8" plugs in my ears. I've been making my own earrings out of 5/8" wood dowels for the last 15 years, as I've found they're the most hygienic and comfortable. This makes me excited, I can add some color to my earrings!

I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this. I immediately ordered some Brusho pigments, clear stamps, and ink. I couldn’t afford the misti so I bought a picture frame, an extra piece of glass(I would have preferred a thick plastic sheet but couldn’t find one), and some silver iridescent duct tape from the Dollar Tree and made my own. It actually works. I haven’t been able to find the fairy stamps yet so bought butterflies.

I know this is an old video, but just wanted to say I love these. I actually loved the squarish look from using the distress ink pads on the gel plate, even though you wanted a more mottled look. And another little detail - I really liked how those little hand-drawn stars looked when they overlapped with the darker black stamped stars. 💜💜💜

I like domed foam blenders for full coverage with Distress Oxide. For dye inks, I like the blending brushes for a wider range of coverage with a good blend. Of course, the paper makes a big difference. Making a sympathy card isn't nearly as difficult as writing the note inside one.

You’re holding up really well, I am so glad to hear that you’re able to return to doing what you love, it really shows in your art. This is so beautiful! Andrea Parr recommended the Strathmore Mixed Media paper to me, I liked it but I recently discovered that the Ranger Mixed Media card stock is a little smoother and thus easier for blending with the distress inks, just very expensive!
