I remember when I bought my first Tama. I came home to take it out of the box and put it all together, I didn't know how to put a drum set together. After an hour I finished installing the whole kit, and at the end it occurred to me to put on the VHS to discover that it explained a trial of how to assemble it.😂

You can hear them talking about answers that might come up and Laureen mentions soothsayer. What amazing luck that it was the last word and Dan had enough time to say it.

Okay, here’s something I never told anyone on this channel except in a now-deleted comment on a different episode of this show. My personal re-upload wishlist for this show is on my KZbin channel’s description, each as described, including the late Michael Tiller’s copy of this episode.

You can tell the canned audience went off line starting with Karen Thomas’s introduction until the end of the first segment of the show. You can tell it was fixed prior to the show returning from commercial break.

Notice how Phyllis Geroge complimented Summerall and Brookshire at the end of their broadcast? The writing must've been on the wall as John Madden was promoted as CBS's #1 analyst the following year.

If I were going to revive this , I would have it go like this first round each letter in the word is $100, round two $200 and round three $300. Whoever has the most money of course go to the bonus round. Bonus Round 6 words to a category after you choose between one of three categories, you win the bonus round you win $25,000 , but then you have a risk, you can take your money and leave, or you can come back for day two, (you get to keep money you win in many game, but if you lose on day two or three, you lose all bonus round winnings) Night Two you would be playing for $100,000, and if you are fortunate and you choose to risk and come back for night three, you would be playing the bonus round for $1,000,000. I just think throwing a risk factor could make it more fun. If you don't win any bonus round you get $500 for each word you get, to play for $100,000 or $1,000,000 you have to be champion two times for $100,000 and three times to play for $1,000,000. I would make it on ABC, or FOX . Three Rounds if show was 30 minutes and have two 30 minute episodes, or if you stretch the show to an hour, I'd change it to round one $25, round two $50, round three $100, round four $200, round five $400 and round six $800 .

Evening, Brian! I noticed that in your GSJ video on this show, it showed footage from Scott & Pam Hostetler’s second day against challengers Mark & Angela. Now unless I’m wrong, that gives me the idea that you have it in your collection. And certainly you’ve heard the tragic news about Michael Tiller of GST Archives, you were his biggest trader. Therefore if you have the episode I brought up it would be a very fit and appropriate tribute to Michael if you shared it. Here’s why. The Hostetlers’ first day as challengers against returning champions Coddy & Mary was the last episode of this show to be uploaded to the GST Archives before we lost Michael. Therefore to post the following episode seems appropriate in his honor. And I know it was available on The Fun & Games Channel for awhile but I assume you know that channel’s been terminated. Thank you!👍

Then at 17:25 you see they won $1375 on day one, and therefore would have had to win $2475 on day two. (I’ve always been good at math.)

15:05 The amount changes to $6050, telling me that on their first two days they would have to have accumulated $3850.

Okay, never mind, I’ll explain why in the website my brother helps me create this September. And perhaps I need to stop posting comments as responses to my own comments, because I did post one to the comment I’m referring to right now last night, but I can’t find it. Maybe doing so causes KZbin to detect spambot activity, IDK, I still have stuff to learn.🤷♂️

I remember this episode like it was yesterday. I developed really bad OCD in high school. Extreme germaphobia, compulsive neatness, and extreme social anxiety. I was a mess. Watching this episode when it was first broadcast was the first time at that point in my life that I realized I wasn't alone and I wasn't crazy. Thank you, Marc, and everyone else who helps people like us with these life altering issues.

I’d like to request something, and it’s not necessarily for Brian Schwartz, but more any user here who might possibly have a game show channel and accepts requests. I’m posting this here because it has to do with this episode. It’s a different recording of it that was on Michael Tiller’s return GST channel. Not his first one, but his return one. His copy had tracking faults and shaky picture but was still very watchable and commercial-free. Anyway, Michael’s return channel got terminated in early 2021, but he created a backup channel and returned again as GST Archives. He didn’t take requests so all I could do was wait patiently, but unfortunately we tragically lost him last January before he had the chance to re-upload his copy. Dave Heller, another game show fan KZbinr, has informed me that one of his past traders traded with him for that episode and another while he was still with us, so I know it’s out there. If there are any KZbinrs on this site who have it as I described or could be on the lookout for it, it would really mean a lot to me. It’s a rather long story why it’s still so important to me, even though it’s the same episode, just a different copy, but I’ll post another comment on this same video later on telling it. Peace out!✌️

It's a bit haunting looking at those "Sweet Pickles" commercials, and a bit sad too remembering this was roughly 40 years ago. The video almost looks like it could've been recorded yesterday, but I'm looking back 40 years. :-| So much has changed since then and not necessarily for the better.

That cartoon on that little video player seems much older than this series. I wonder where that film originally came from.
