Jolly, my man, please do me a huge favor! I want to know exactly which sound panels you are using in your room. I tried cheap foam and elgato etc and was not happy with the results. I want to know the type and thickness of the panels you use. Are they all the same type?

Geoff can sure make the villain come to life - so good. I figured Layne had to be the warthog, with the 3 tenors as the hyenas. Mykal is one of the original guys along with Geoff, Layne and Earl. After they graduated in 1997, they got Scott Porter as the beatboxer and changed the group from 4theLove to 4:2:five since they had 5 people. After about 3-4 yrs, Scott wanted to take up acting so left for the West Coast where he's done a lot of acting and Mykal left to go to Broadway. Both guys have done well. They were short 2 people and they brought on Eli who had been in a nearby school and they competed in the same chorus competitions, after graduation Eli joined some rock bands and in 2010 he joined 4:2:Five which turned into VoicePlay. Layne had been the baritone but when Scott left, Layne got to be the beatboxer. Geoff taught him what he knew and Layne ran with it and hasn't looked back since. Since VoicePlay is centered in Orlando and almost all members have performed for either Disney World or Universal, they really have an incredible group of vocalists to draw on.

I love reading the comments down below - it seems to be a fairly even split between those who thought the TLM 103 was better, and those who thought the C414 was better. I thought both were excellent, but different, so really it's a preference. I was listening through good headphones, and felt that the TLM 103 had a bit more mid-range presence. It really just depended - I found myself vacillating between which one I liked better. The C414 always seemed a bit smoother overall, but I didn't find that either one was markedly better than the other.

Türkiyede yaşıyorum ve dolar burada çok pahalı.. Buna rağmen lewitt audio nun sahte pazarlama stratejisine kanarak gidip kendime bu condenser microphonu aldım. vokallerim o kadar iğrenc geliyorki ne kadar mixlesemde o pislikliği alamıyorum. üstelik apollo twin ses kartına sahibim. şu zamana kadar elimden 10' a yakın mikrofon gecmiştir hiç birinden bu kadar şikayetci olmadım . 2 el olarak satmak istiyorum ama kimse yanaşmıyor. gerçekten resmen dolandırıldım. internette gösterilen o videoların hepsi yalan. mikrofon resmen 5 dolarlık bir mikrofon gibi ses veriyor ve evcilleşmiyor Uyarmak isterim. lewitt pişmanlıktır.

Ive read the pad issue on U87ai is phasy, its usually only for drums and extreme loud hits, so not used much. The KSM 44 is used 1/10 the price an one of the best deals there is, at retail its $1k with shock, case, hard mount where the U87AI relys on the quality, name brand but its being hype priced way too much but hey! it is selling and enjoying being # 1 Standard so it is what it is, most people buy the 2nd party shock mount instead of Neum $400 one. U87Ai has to defend its title all day long, and yeah, with its price its not for everyone. The sound here is two very fine mics, both with multipattern and both found in pro studios, so it comes to miniscule EQ shifts and Name Brand. KSM44 should be noted to intially be a USA flagship of Shure, but all their mfg is moved to China, and Mexico is now the higher cost mfg...so probably in a few more years all Shure will be China produced. (so get the USA KSM series...used for better quality)

u87 ai is more neutral with little boost on lo mid and hi mid high mid on ksm 44 is really not musical and i fill it need eq

To me, adding some EQ around 3db between 400hz to 800hz, the Atlantis in G mode sounds more like the u87. Nice mics!

Really sorry about the audio glitching from 06:54 - 09:11 I was testing out using VST plugins live and one of them crashed and completely broke the audio 😭

Do you think the sale result can be obtained with the same settings applied with VSTs ?

Lauten makes awesome Microphones, and they care about making a good product, if your not happy with something i would definitely contact them and talk to them about it. sounds like you really have to crank up the gain to hear that, you sure its not picking up your AC or heater or something ??

1)Either the capsule have dust, moisture and similar things on it, 2)Either the mic is a copy and not an original one, 3)Or just loose ground connection inside the mic. I had similar thing, it was 1st one.

I almost bought the Atlantis and last minute I changed my mind and got the Gefell M930 and man am I happy I did. Smallest large diaphram condenser with the biggest sound. Also Gefell owner was a partner with Neumann before WW2, he ended up in East Germany and started Gefell. They are on par with Neumann mics.

NT1 is a beast of a mic. If they put a $1000 price tag on it, no one would say this sounds like a $200 mic.

I've had a couple of my most expensive boutique mics have lousy self noise like this. I'd resigned myself to the fact that some of these mics are originally intended as singing mics, not VO mics. (So I use them for louder performances or voice acting when there's music in the mix. Still sucks though!) Now I'm hypercritical of self noise specs for all future purchasing prospects!

The Rode NT1 sounds so much cleaner overall as well as quieter. Guess that speaks to the quality of these mics in general, Rode have always delivered a great product but i've seen another youtuber with Lauten mic issues too

Wow. I could hear the differences even over my iPhone speakers. First off, every scenario sounded fine at a minimum. Even the cheapo mic through the cheapo pre sounds ok, though it def had more *color. Over iPhone speakers sounded like more upper mids. Less clarity but still *ok. While the Sennheiser mix through the expensive pres had immense clarity, zero coloration, and just felt like it had more weight, if that makes sense. Goes to show nowadays you don’t have to spend a fortune to get *decent recordings. But definitely shows you what you get when you do spend a fortune. Lol

I love Bass gang! They are wonderful and Peter Hollens is the icing on the cake. So much talent and good vibes fill us with joy.
