What if your drawing was of a house that was 6 meters by 8 meters. How will you fit that large house on to A4 sheet size? The drawing would be much larger than the boarder. The example you show only works with objects that are smaller than the A4 sheet size. It doesn't work for objects that are larger than the A4 sheet size.

This video shows one of the most complicated steps I ever meet. But, it shows the beauty of Freecad. People can make simple things more complicate, or simply create them. If you use the SW all that things are in place Good luck and never complicate things. If you find a more complicated way, let us know. .

As someone with CAD experience from other WORKING software... I am beyond frustration with Freecad. The "free" part really shines on that field, gods. They really have no single piece of effort towards making this any user friendly. I absolutely hate this software but I have nothing else atm. I am taking days of work with this what I can do in 40 minutes in autodesk inventor.

I was able to get the dimension leaders to work but no text. Free Snap was key to get the leaders to work.

great thread demo... i have been attempting to make some 1/4"_18 threads tapered NPT male pipe threads for sealing 5000 psi... at the very peak point crest it has a tiny 2 to 4 thou flat spot and the taper gives some twisting crest distortion ? this may not be a problem, however for learning purposes it would be nice to find the reason for this error? i think the profile, helix and pitch values are very close, but may need a very small adjustment? thanks a lot...:)

Audio interest is ok, although sound level peaks for No reason!, Visual interest needs work, you CANNOT make drawing a square exciting with just guitar riff, I suggest that if your aiming for beginners, then hold there hand all the way throu, if any other level talk about something during sketch - we have done that part. Also whats the go with the form? The purpose of comments is too accept feedback good or bad, If its offences you can delete.

I have created all of the main pieces of my chess set. Freecad shows that each item has the correct constraints. I can make the "Mesh", but when I check to see if it is solid I get the error message that "the mesh is not a solid." How do I correct an object to eliminate the breaks in the image to ensure it is a solid.

Well i've learned something here,but unfortunately for me my freecad whenever i attempt to assemble something crash. Freecad 0.18 something,it probably is my laptop with a lack of ram and video card speed also CPU 1.6ghz. I'd bet my balls on my laptop..

Can anyone help I'm following this video and as soon as I press sketch the part design turns to sketcher in the workbench window
@robertjohnston8290
@robertjohnston8290 3 жыл бұрын
It will do that since sketcher is used to start the part. When you close the sketcher task, it defaults back to the part design and those menus are active. That is what he was showing from the beginning.
