Great show. Great pickups by you both. And yea, slow news wise until we get closer to toyfair

I'm only 15 minutes in and I'm leaving my first of what I have to assume will be multiple comments haha. I loved the POTF2 collection talk. I too am building a loose collection display of all the POTF2. Your toy show comments were spot on. For a blip of time dealers thought they could up the price on all of them to $10-20 per, then reality set in and at the last show I got 68 figures from 1 seller for like $3 per figure.
@returnofplexКүн бұрын
I know I give those figures a hard time, but honestly, we just need to collect the things that we love. I remember being so stoked when I first saw those figures on the shelf! That's the type of feeling we're all trying to either recapture or hang on to in this hobby.

I REALLY wanted to ask Josh about the possibility of Laser Power He-Man and Laser Light Skeletor in Origins but didn't want to get him in any trouble with Mattel.
@vane_twentyone29 күн бұрын
Fun episode. Gave me something to listen to at work on a Monday. Origins is one of, if not my favorite current lines. They've obviously strayed a little away from the vintage figures recently, im REALLY hoping they finish the line out before everything transitions to cartoon collection. But even if the line ended today I love looking at my MOTU origins display everyday. Cool guest, nice to hear hes a collector and his process. Also 90s POTF2 will forever have my heart haha. I'm actually currently building my loose complete collection of that line.

Great episode. These made my workday definitely more enjoyable today haha. Great picks for toy of the year. That Jetfire, man when I opened mine I couldn't get pics fast enough sent off to my local toy buddy telling him he needed to snag one. Great figure. I know there is some bad tastes left from the snake men taking over the MOTU origins line and I totally get that, but in hand there were 1 or 2 that blew me away and would make my list. Mcfarlane also kicked out some really great stuff. I really hope he does a comic two face, Ivy and Zatanna soon.

Ok happy you guys are back. I was nervous haha. I love this show to be honest. Its just as casual as me discussing my recent pickups with my toy collecting buddy. Where did you get those zelda figures? I got the first release one, and have looked everywhere locally for the newer ones but haven't seen any signs. I was wondering if they were sold online somewhere? BBTS doesn't seem to sell them.

We find most of the figures like that at Walmart and Target to be honest. I don't think either of us go searching for ones like that. Wild finds. Thanks for sticking with us!

Shouldn't be a problem finding them at Walmart now. Its a revision case that also features a black Samus. Cheap too; I think they're $9.99 ea.

I don't know how you guys don't have more subs. First time viewer and I thought the show was really good. Loved the opinions and information, a little bit missed on the MOTU stuff I think but that's OK. The Modulok that was shown is part of the origins line, I think you guys may have said it wasn't. But nevertheless great show. I'll definitely be making my way through your backlog library and already just fallowed the Instagram account. My Facebook presence is not much so the Instagram will have to do for now. Would love to converse about some toys as I collect a lot of different lines like you guys.

I never seen Robolinks at Toys R Us back in the 80's. The Revel Robotech Defenders/Changers? I spent a LOT on that line. I learned later about the original source materials for Fang of the Sun but i knew something was off about Robotech (especially when i started seeing the 1/200 Pitaban macross kits at TRUs, the ones with the art being clearly better than the kits themselves). 5:06 those 1/100 kits were the first ones to actually match macross proper colors (the 1/72 kits being marketed as not Harmony Gold's "product")... at one point, i had probably 4 or 5 of those kits, in Fighter or Gerwalk, hanging from the ceiling...

I picked one of these up second hand when I was a kid. This would have been in the very early 2000s, so it must have been some other kid's older brother's toy, or maybe dad's. It was missing some parts, and I didn't have any figures to go in it, but it was a big cool spaceship and I had my fun with it. Wonder what happened to it.

Mattel didn't release these until fairly late in the line for some reason. By the time they hit stores, the series itself had already been cancelled and interest was starting to wane. By the time the 2nd wave was released, most stores put them on clearance as soon as they got them.
