I have the UK 45 and both later Just Sunshine albums. 'Cashing In' was massively popular in UK Soul clubs in the North of England and still gets plays today. Respect.

[2x:] Life's a game of give and take To prevent the sure heartache Life's a game of give and take In love I will return for all the years Will rise, baby I can't admit understanding Why am I to blame Nothing 'bout your business See you on the way Never been a witness See me on the way Oh, tell me what it is made you want to change your mind Did you say "it's your fault you want to fight"? Very special love Very special love affair [2x:] Life's a game of give and take To prevent the sure heartache Life's a game of give and take In love Yesterday, you said you still loved me Still stringing my poor heart along, baby But since I been without you I can see all the things I done wrong It's not your business I don't need to know I know what you're doing Everywhere you go I will not forget you Long as the years pass, baby Your love was fine, so satisfying The pleasure was like pure gold, sugar Now tell me will you forget it And me filled with reverie I look back with disassociation At our history The good times belong to those Who really wish to enjoy, baby I tell all the children Ours was a love that fell Oh, tell me what it really was Made you want to change your life As far as I can see You had paradise, you had paradise Very heavy love Very heavy love affair I put you on a pedestal And said I worshiped you secretly, baby I tried my best to change you I'm going to admit my mistakes Just like to the wind Life's a game of give and take To prevent the sure heartache Life's a game of give and take In love [2x:] Life's a game of give and take To suppress the sure heartache Life's a game of give and take In love

Peace & blessings to you and the members of VOEH. You represented us well, it was a big deal for me as a Black kid to see you on the Ed Sullivan Show. Your music is still relevant because the music had and still has a message. Right on Be free!!!

He worked on this album while in exile in London. Well he was in debt really bad with Motown... So someone stole the masters to this album and Motown put this album out without his consent and he never recorded on Motown again..Everything else he did was recorded on CBS and Tamla

I had a great time working with Thelma Houston arranging and producing this album for her. We wrote some intros to a number of the songs, this was one of the ones I remember writing together. The background singers on this were, Pat Hodges and Denita James from the 70s Mickey Stevenson group, Hodges, James & Smith, and Portia Griffin, from The Sweet Inspirations.

This was Marvin at his best. It is like some of his "What's going on" "Lets get it on" and "I want you" various album tracks sort of coming in and out. You can hear and feel all that music in this track.
