What? You didn’t get the whole thing and then add 10,000 pounds of wood like a School bus conversion?

It might be to much weight but a lean to porch patio that folds down with fold up railings and little jack stands underneath to leval it. Probably need some kind of counter weight to hook it back up to the side of the rv. If you made it all out of aluminum it'd be lighter but expensive.

My plan is to use the steel plate mounted to the underside of the floor that used to hold the wheelchair lift and mount 1000 lbs slide rails with a steel or aluminum plate with a electric linear actuator to pull it out /in. As you know, plans rarely go as planned!

Do you think the grey and black tanks should be replaced?
@jessewhite25932 жыл бұрын
Nope, black tank is incorporated into the toilet and it works perfectly. The Grey water tank holds water with no leaks just fine!

Awesome! very cool and answers my question! I'm so used to seeing the hookups located on the exterior of units that I was momentarily confused about the 228 models Hahahaha. The magnum inverter is a very good addition too. I hope you keep making update videos on the progress of restoring this old van. Also, thanks for taking the time to make this video, much appreciated 👍

Do you happen to know the dimensions of that bed? Also, do most of these models come with tank heaters standard, or was that an after-market addition?
@jessewhite25932 жыл бұрын
I'll get you the measurements tommorow, I was just finishing up installing a convection microwave oven in it tonight. No they didn't come with tank heaters, however the black water tank is stored under the toilet and is not exposed outside so as long as the motorhome interior is heated your good to go. The gray water tank is exposed outside and we have installed a 12 volt heat pad on it but in truth if you dont completly fill the gray tank and park it in a heated garage overnight after camping - then drain it, we never never had an issue and we are in Alaska.

@@jessewhite2593 Appreciate it, also wanted to ask, I notice these models were not built with electrical hookups. Does that mean normally the only way to charge the battery is by running the generator?
