And stories like these, stories like my grandmother who was a majorette in the civil rights movement in Montgomery, AL and fought so for our rights, is why I will always do WHATEVER I have to to vote in every election I can. I’m literally pregnant this year and due to the birth right before the election, I’m voting early and will crawl over broken glass if I have to to vote. It was too hard fought for and it’s a spit in the face of my ancestors not to do my civic duty and VOTE.

The time I was in the car with my adult children and they proceeded to tell me that I did a good job as their mom and that I didn’t mess them up. I had been struggling with depression and was feeling like I was the worst mom ever. They not only told me but gave examples to make their points.

In away he died with the young man that was burnt that day....... That's why it was December 7th that he o passed...... Time is relative. Sometimes I think people often die near to dates that were most traumatic for them in their lives. This is one of the times that I see that my theory is true❤ 😢

This just reminded me of something from a now rather old episode of "Grey's Anatomy". I remember the patient in question talking about her mother always reminding her that she built her from scratch. That was my first thought when Sarah said they shared a heart. "Well, of course. She built her from scratch." I love the love in this family.

This video is rather chilling to watch. In short, Wayne Lo lies about his guilt for a few minutes to get sympathy and attention for killing people. From Dr. Peter Langman's book about School Shooters: "Lo claimed that during his attack he believed he was on a mission from God. This, however, appears to have been a lie. The night before the shooting, he told a friend that he was writing out the Book of Revelation to give people the impression that he was crazy. In addition, Lo called the police after his rampage, demonstrating that he knew he had committed a crime; if he truly believed he was on a mission from God, why call the police? Furthermore, while in prison, Lo exhibited a narcissistic delight in fame and a psychopathic interest in deception. According to court documents, “the defendant talked about the killings with other inmates and told them that he was excited that he was getting attention from the news media and that he hoped to be on television or have a movie made about what happened. The defendant also discussed the insanity plea and asked the inmates ‘if there was any way to fool . . . the shrink.’” A reporter for the New York Times who interviewed Lo seven years after the attack was struck by Lo’s remarkably smooth presentation, noting he “often spoke with disarming frank-ness. He was also manipulative, controlling and so eager to portray himself in a positive light that it was sometimes impossible to believe he thought he was telling the truth.” Why did Lo go on a rampage? Maybe he was trying to prove some-thing. He was on the short side at 5’5” and, according to a friend, Lo was very sensitive about it. It seemed vitally important for Lo to be seen as masculine. His friends used to joke with him: “We’d be like, ‘How tough are you Wayne?’ And he’d say, ‘I’m tough.’ . . . It was just ridiculous.” After the attack, one of his friends said, “This is a terrible thing to say, but it was almost as if Wayne did those shootings to impress his friends.”

Fun fact, Rosa Parks was actually not the first black person to refuse to get up from their seat for a white person. The first person was a pregnant teenager, you can see why she wasn't really made the face of the bus boycott.

War is an ugly thing. Doesn't take any analysis more scholarly than just looking at photos of what fresh evil humanity is disturbingly ready to inflict on others to tell you that much. M*A*S*H put it best: War is war and Hell is Hell, and of the two, war is a lot worse. No innocent bystanders in the devil's pit. War, however, to find them, all you need to do is look around.
