I have had a Rogue Sphinx integrated amp for almost 10 years. A real bargain and good-sounding amp. Love that it’s made right here in Pennsylvania. Thanks for the video!

I had the Chronus Magnum (Mk1). I kinda liked the Industrial Chic look. It was rated at 70 watts IIRC, but it just seemed to be great gobs of power. I could live with that but I got the chance to get a Pass Labs amp and that is what I run now. One more thing: Rogue is a cool name and they have the best logo in all of Hi-Fi.

Save yourself alot if money. Buy the older ones. All of these models might if changed a bit from when I used them DJing in the 80's but they are the same except the ones I used were powerhouse. The head shell never changed.

What version of the album are you playing in the video?

The one in the beginning is actually me. The guy in the video. I'm a big synth guy as well as an audio enthusiast. I did an "On The Run" cover. kzbin.info/www/bejne/in_RhaeurZiFh6M The one at the end I'll have to get back to you on. I can't remember where I got that but I have it somewhere. Just have to dig it up. I'll get back to you on that one. Can't use copyrighted material on YT so I got what I could.

Its a great video. I have a question. Does it work with 220V or 110V ? Or both work ?
@AudiolabStereoVideo3 ай бұрын
Good question. Not an easy answer to definitively find. On the box, which is the only thing I can find regarding that, says, "100-220V / 50-60Hz" seems to me that's both.

Ha ha! I actually thought the same thing. It doesn't BUT there is a bundle that comes with that and the prism record clamp.... I have to mention, I didn't think I was going to like this turntable. Before I saw it in person I had no interest. That changed instantly when I opened it and held it and then was sold after playing it. 😁

I am very familiar with these speakers and the room’s capabilities and restrictions, as I should be, as I own the joint. I have never heard these speakers perform this well. This system sounded as good as anything we have played in this room, even systems costing 2 to 3 times as much. The RA280 is astonishingly good, not “for the money good” just damn good. As Eric described it, it’s grippy, controlling the woofers with complete authority extracting every last bit of oomph they have to give. The mids and highs revealed every detail in the material we demoed without becoming fatiguing, or strident. This is truly an amplifier for the ages. Even though the Dali Rubicons were secondary in this test, we knew they’d reveal any amp shortcomings…we didn’t expect what we heard. Don’t get me wrong, we weren’t expecting mediocrity based on previous HiFiRose products, we just weren’t expecting to be floored, or look like a bunch of mouth gaping newbies experiencing great sound for the first time. This amp should be on your short list if you are thinking of a new amp. I’d compare it to almost anything in its orbit. Looking for new speakers? We’ll be displaying the new Dali Rubikore shortly and can’t wait to hear how they could have improved on the Rubicon. Stop by Audiolab in Morrisville Pa to hear for yourself. We are 30 minutes from Philadelphia and a little over an hour from NYC by train. We’ll even reimburse your NJ transit ticket to Trenton and give you an Uber code to travel the 5 minutes to Audiolab. Thanks for reading and hope to demo the RA280 to you soon.

Tweeter at top, midrange below that, then the bass drives below that and end with bass port. Taga Harmony has that classic design. Bass port at top next to tweeter and main drive triggers my OCD! 😭🤣

Thank you for the unboxing and preliminary installation video. I still need help understanding how to adjust the stylus pressure ring counterweight. What is the recommended tracking force for the Denon DL103R MC cartridge, or how can I determine the best tracking force for it?
@AudiolabStereoVideo5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment!! For that cartridge the manual says 2.5g ... plus or minus .3g - if the bass seems to much then it's probably a little too much weight. If you go to 6:46 in this video you get the tonearm so it's floating. That's your zero point and you turn only the part with the numbers on it and NOT the whole counterweight to "0". After that you turn both that and the counter to 2.5 in this situation, for your cartridge. I can make a video showing exactly what I mean. For now I'll put the manual below for your cartridge. I bet that cartridge sounds amazing!!! www.denon.com/on/demandware.static/-/Library-Sites-denon_northamerica_shared/default/dwd77cb899/downloads/dl-103r-owners-manual-en.pdf

Hi this one is very neutral and sounds great. Pure analogue , no potential background noise from DAC or headphones. It's kind of hifi gear you like or not
