I've had the pleasure of driving two of them myself last week. It truly is an epic car, the best JLR have built in a very long time. Hopefully the transfer box issues aren't too widespread, and they prove to be as reliable as the old SVR.

Love this video! If I could make a suggestion for a future episode I would implore you to look into the Ferrari XX group! Like the Enzo FXX, 599XX, FXXK, and now the uh...SF90XX...convertible...?

E-tron is gorgeous, faarr comfier with better noise isolation, ride quality, NVH (noise vibrations and harshness) reduction, rock solid interior etc

Ive had 4 of the cars. the mg4 awful customer service!! Broke down after 400 miles and mg didnt want to know! Cupra was ok, not very trusting brakes, the screen at night was a stupid idea. Kia ev was like drivng a bus and is ugly. Between the kia and cupra i covered 40k. I now have a dolphin on pcp with 20k miles and pay £411 pcm... Hands down for me would be the dolphin comfort spec in urban grey.

Shame the byd atto3 or dolphin were not in this test... I've had 3 of the top 5 😂😂

😂 Tesla M3 in 6th place - you have stretched your credibility here. Enjoy your limited range 200hp hatchback for £40k or the incredible style and quality of the MG. Maybe watch also watch Harry’s Garage for a sceptical but honest review.

Daft daft daft… Model 3 in 6th is beyond stupid. The supercharger network alone should be enough to put it into first position. also, it’s large size comfort dynamics efficiency, etc easily out classes every car here

Tesla in 6th place? And number 1 is an iD3 with Seat Badges! 😂😂😂😂 Autocar is clearly being bribed. I’ve unsubscribed and I’m sorry I wasted 28 minutes of my time watching your shameful video.

New updates have addressed the wipers with a new update to use the left scroll button as a small menu pops up to adjust speed options etc. indicators you do get used too and yes you do second guess sometimes but you soon work it out if it’s the only car you drive.

This is a vehicle that is designed for the UK and perhaps Europe, where you have a strong dealer network. In North America, this will be relegated to the bottom half of the list due to it's higher price than the UK and lack of any support. Yep, it's just like any other Lotus.

Smart #3 fixes the ride problem: it’s lower, firmer, sportier and more stable due to a longer wheelbase. Also more space inside and a slightly nicer interior for not much more money. I’ve got one for a few months now and really enjoy it

For me the Audi looks like a boring Audi.... beautiful Audi fit and finish but it simply doesn't stand out. The Lotus looks brand new and worth the luxury tab. On another test they put the Lotus against a Bentley and a Ferrari at 3x the price.

The BYD ATTO 3 would have been a better comparison in this field compared to the Dolphin.
@peterarmstrong3853Күн бұрын
But in quite a few tests the dolphin is up against most of these ... I have the dolphin 👍👍

Six dudes picking the best "family friendly" EV. Never once mentioned boot space and glossing over things that are important for families like practically and space. Here's an idea why not bring your families along to these tests with your weekly shopping, child seats/boosters, strollers, kids scooters, school bags etc and THEN pick the best "family friendly" EV. Your test as it is has limited usefulness for anyone choosing a "family friendly" EV.

while the low center of gravity, low inertia chassis, low steering angle, wider track and wider tyres make it better and more responsive at track driving, it makes drifting ridiculously harder Also the weight will probably eat the tyres super fast during drifting on a high grip surface
@johnbruce96982 күн бұрын
all over priced, range is unlikely to be achieved, and try getting them repaired if anything go wrong, and just do not be in an accident, even a minor accident can right these cars off.

Would like to hear how good the voice activated functions are when the interfaces are criticised for having no buttons. Good voice control mitigates the lack of buttons.

The best family EV is a petrol car. In my 8 years ownership from new and only 40k miles covered in it, with an astounding 33% battery degradation. I would now say don't touch an EV with a barge pole unless you are trying to find a faster way to lose your money than incinerating it. They are not fit for purpose and not long lived I have two other cars, both ice, both working perfectly and both with the ranges they were bought with at 16 and 20 years old. EV's ? Never again ! My neighbour has just bought an I pace about 4 months ago for £29 k, you would think that is a bargain but it is still losing about £1k per month on autotrader. Mugs game.

Have to say I was completely anti ev for the past 3 years , have a few at work and they are terrible, but the wife picked up a born 77kwh with only a few thousand kilometres on it, and I seriously can’t fault it. Most I’ve seen on the read out is 512km on a good day and least 412km. We have a charger at home from a gte golf but after 2 months of ownership we’ve only charge it once of the solar. And most charges are done at her workplace. Just for context 199 euro on pcp and she swapped out of a Gti that was costing 350 a month on fuel. Have to say these cars used correctly , locally and the odd medium long journey are so efficient of the use of terrain and coasting and regen they make perfect sense in a 2 car family. I would urge anyone to trial one for an extended period and actually realise how hard it actually is the run down the battery

Then saying, _"Riding the Elephant is just like riding a horse."_ 😲🤔 I'm not complaining. Just commenting. The Lotus looks stunning 8-))...

I feel that a better comparison, given Lotus' storied albeit spotty QC sports car history, would have been a Tincan, sorry Taycan. I am afraid as a past Lotus owner, It would take an huge leap of faith for me to spend £100,000+ on a Hethel product. Having had Porsches for the last 20+ years, currently a Panamera Hybrid, going back to Lotus and Lotus dealerships would seem a retrograde step.
