I saw Vanya recently and was mesmerised by Andrew's incredible versatility playing all the parts. He is an amazing actor and I'm looking forward to watching him in anything else he does. I preferred his version of Tom Ripley.

Regarding lesbians in the 1950s (responding to the ubiquitous question about the beautiful film "Carol"), Cate's remark about the invisibility of gay women, the irrelevance of them is true. They were barely recognized (unless they were overtly butch looking). They were titillating to heterosexual men, but otherwise were hardly considered.
