@@bobskadugefani1483 thank you. I think one of the most exciting think about reading poetry is when you read and "get it!". That's aha moment you suddenly connect with the author. You feel his pain, sorrow and joy buried within. Or at least think you do. Glad you enjoyed it. Glad to know you. Daniel Avinash.

there was a time in the early '90's when I sat on a log outside my dwelling my head in my hands despairing and undeserving; suddenly my GOD was sitting next to mearm around my shoulders, pulling me into Him, whispering in my ear: "It's ALL Me!". It;s ALL Me!"

The absolute truest words that could be spoken. Most people desire that deep love, but seldom is one prepared for that commitment. But as heavy or as fleeting as it is, love is love. Gibran, thank you. And may your soul rest in a bed of roses.

This is favourite from the Prophet, together with ‘Marriage’. I regularly remind myself of both in my relationship to my children and to my partner. It’s not easy to let go of the impulse to possess and control but it’s the only way to truly loving others and respecting them as separate and complete beings. ❤

Beautifully said Antoinette. You're absolutely correct! It's a conscious decision we must make. Our default thinking of power and control won't do us any good. Author Timothy J. Keller might be of some interest to you.

11And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: 12and after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
