Carlos is very fast and sounds Great. He should get more credit. I read that Randy Rhoads actually recommended Carlos to Quiet Riot. So, that is something Very good from someone like Randy.

I saw one of their last shows in a small club in OC, just before Carlos got picked up by Quiet Riot for the Metal Health LP. Thought it was a shame QR didn't let him unleash his true talent on that release.

QR were the first heavy metal band to have a number 1 album, knocked Thriller off the podium.

Back then his main job was to emulate Randy Rhodes. But as time passed he cultivated his own unique style of playing. Today in 2022, 39 years later, Carlos is 100-Xs better than he's ever been. Just watch how he plays now on tour with RATT. He's never been better. And most epic shredders lose our shit as we age, but he has only gotten better. Total respect.

Carlos Cavazo was the lead guitarist for Quiet Riot. Quiet Riot was literally my intro to Metal. Ergo, Carlos Cavazo is one of my heroes.
