Hi, I am Graeme John Eddington. Following is my KZbin post of my Multi-speed transmission I have called: "Opposing Torque Dynamic Clutch" which is a type of Infinitely Variable Transmission (IVT) which I believe is ideal for your current applications. Australian Patent Number: 2020201132. Motor 1 tries to rotate the carrier counter-clockwise and Motor 2 tries to rotate the carrier clockwise. The ratio, acceleration and speed of the vehicle is controlled by the amount and proportion of power/torque from the two motors. In addition the ratio of the transmission is affected by the speed and load of the vehicle. So, with the aid of speed sensors on all the components of the transmission, the speed of the vehicle, position of the accelerator and a kick-down switch - all that is needed to control the whole system is a computer. There is no actual gear selector for the driver to operate, however a manual mode would be appropriate where the driver has a 'balance' control knob that manually controls the proportion of power/torque to each motor and therefore can choose any ratio desired for the driving situation. An added enhancement could be added to the transmission by having a traditional planetary overdrive attached to each of the motors to enhance the rev range of each motor. This would enable the provision of extra modes like economy mode/sports mode and improve the kick-down mode by inputting more revs when the gearbox is in an extremely low ratio during kick-down operation. Having this type of transmission would improve acceleration and range of the vehicle allowing for a smaller battery pack/lighter weight leading to cost savings and simpler manufacturing. Not sure if BYU is the best if you are more into social entrepreneurship...the spirit calls me to tackle global poverty, I also struggle in math. Like really struggle. May consider taking some GMAT prep classes, torn between this and just doing a program in the third world, like TISS in India.

I’m trying to tell our sad experience with this organization everywhere I can. My sons studied many years in a school in Sao Paulo, Brazil that belongs to the Rotary Foundation of São Paulo. 11 years ago, I got divorced and stopped paying the tuition for 5 months. Now, 11 years later, after having my bank account blocked, not having been informed about this law suit till it was already ended, so I couldn’t even defend myself, I have a debt of almost US$15,000. I deliver food for a living, cannot pay this amount, I live with my 2 sons in Colorado, and was caught with this huge bill, with this amount I could buy a condo or a house in some regions in Brazil. I sent an email to the president of Rotary in the US, president of Rotary in Brazil asking for help. Never got an answer from any of them, I received an email from a Rotary supervisor in Brazil saying that Rotary Foundation of São Paulo has financial and administrative autonomy to make any decisions and they couldn’t interfere. That was it. I sent several other emails asking for help, no response whatsoever! None! This law suit was in the hands of a very expensive law firm in Sao Paulo. They played cruelly with me and my family during this process, offered a discount, cancelled the discount, then returned with the discount, demanded the bill to be paid with a credit card. If I didn’t pay the bill, the next step would be to take ownership of any properties under my name in Brazil. We do have a condo in Brazil, where I and my family used to live. We rent an apartment here in Colorado. Now I read Rotary’s mission, “provide service to others, goodwill”!!!!! This is not true!! This is a group of arrogant and greedy people, that make a lot of money, no mercy or sympathy for any family or person in need, I can imagine how many families in the same situation as me have their lives destroyed in law suits like this! This organization deserves no respect!!!!!

@@SensibleCents It’s been paid off. This whole process was wrong since the beginning, if I was contacted in the beginning, this amount would never get to this amount, I was never contacted. The interest rate was way above the normal rate, this is an absurd amount in Brazil, plus it was demanded to be paid with a credit card. Any movement I made to make it possible for me to pay, more difficult they would make it. I would never be able to pay this bill with all their demands. This is exactly my point, if I didn’t have this friend’s help, I would never be able to pay this debt with all their demands. I can only think about the families that cannot get the help I got.
