Implying that Edison has changed the world, and not Tesla, is the single most American thing I've heard Linus say. Very respectable person, but that is utter bullshit (the words he often uses to describe wrong commits for patches)

Instead of the variable name "indirect", I'd use "ptr" or "pointer". Also, the code is straight forward enough that the comments seem excessive. If someone doesn't understand it, then that person shouldn't be programming because it's like elementary programming.

They are two halves of the same beautiful coin... Both incredible visionaries (despite what Linus says) , both a part of GNU/Linux OS, android OS and ios, and both part of the operating system that defines what we are and what we do. Windows is great for playing tetris, battleships and Minecraft but GNU/Linux is the backbone of OS in industry... Linus Torvalds and RMS are the greatest story in modern computing... despite the relative coldness between them.

As a newcomer to Linux who made the transition mostly because my computer could no longer run Windows ... yes. I can now do live DSP on a laptop that couldn't open emails when it ran Windows.
