I was able to press tees but I remember being super awkward and I don’t trust it came out alright…. Not ideal tool design.

how it will work in tie places ? extant 3 ft handles ?
@TheOneNyc7 ай бұрын
this is a good tool if you dont have walls or ceilings in your house then it might work, just buy house without walls and ceilings and you might get it to work, it works great on the table in video
@workingshlub88619 ай бұрын
this tool works good.....make sure you can fully open the handles and get the jaws in place....you have to plan ahead because it can be hard for tight spots..

Just buy the hydraulic crimpers, easier to use and less space needed.

This video is to funny. It did not show the black crimp. I was going to see how he crimp it effortlessly. I have the exact tool. I’m a 135 lbs lady and doing a lot of diy crimping my pex B with this tool the only way I can crimp it is put it on the floor and crimp with all my weight into it. As of right now my worries is crimping it on the wall since it requires my full strength and weight to make it crimp. I’m sure there is a large and heavy handle for me to use out there. This crimping tool by the way is lightweight.

Nope. That will NOT work. The press body is too bulky and the T fitting does not sit properly in the jaws

Has anyone measured the force that the major brand tools apply to the fittings vs what the manual tools do? Why don't any of the major brands release a manual tool? What is the most expensive part? I see reports of successes and failures and would really love to have a manual option but increasing the risk by using a copycat tool isn't going to fly for long. Then there are copycat fittings too.

Here is the correct video for the IWS-1424BN. Please take this one down. watch?v=IVnJjEMkMSE

The thumbnail for the video shows the IWS-1424BN. However, the content of the video is for a different crimper, the IWS-1424B. Big difference between these crimpers

This is not what my IWS-1424BN tool looks like at all. Please put up the correct video for the IWS-1424BN. See the link on the IWISS site for "one-step-weather-pack-crimp-tool-metri-pack-crimper" The photo of the tool there is what mine looks like and is very different from the one in this video

Thankfully the instructions on the product page are useful. This video is a demonstration that yes, apparently somebody who knows how to use the tool can use it successfully. It has zero explanatory value. And the music seems calculated to drive the viewer insane. Happily there aren't any actual spoken instructions on the video, so it can be safely muted.

I just purchased a set of these crimpers and used them on 1/0 wire. I only crimped them one time. and it seemed to push up one side of the lug. When I tried to reverse the wire and crimp the opposite side it seemed to fall into the first crimps relief. Is this normal?

What is that work table and vice? I want this so bad
@bsoneill3 Жыл бұрын
The tables are the Worx Pegasus. I have several. They're good. A few issues- they're not flat (hump in the middle at the fold) and the clamps leave grease stains on wood. You need to use cauls or you'll have stains on your projects. On the plus side the tables are stable, hold a lot, light, and foldable to get out of the way. (Sorry for replying to an old comment wanted to provide the info in case others had the same question.)

It's a good idea, but why not just solder? Propress is great for repaira on live systems in tight spaces where soldering is less of a feasible option, but theres no way this would work in tight situations. Too bad because $200 is a lot more attractive than $2000-$3500!
