The only time I catch carp in Potholes or Moses Lake is by accident. Throwing a Rapala for bass or trout and snagging them in the tail usually. Get ready for a 1/2 hour fight if you don't want to lose the lure.

Crazy how busy it is. Was this on the north side of the lake? South side was so dead (maybe 1-2 guys fishing). Just went up there this week. Super slow from what I saw on the south side of the lake

I lived in Oak Harbor for 48 years and fished all those waters for many years. It was good to see the old grounds since I live in Idaho now. East of Colville Island off of Lopez. Outgoing tide pull right up to the freestanding bouy and drift down the drop, many fish fry's made from that point. If they still have a season that is. Good job and keep it salty! Tight lines and not snags. V

Bigger swimbaits will catch you bigger lings, but you will have less hits. Looks like the area you guys fished was hit hard since the opener up in WA, hence the undersized lings and time of year. Big ones come in to spawn and lay eggs later in the Summer. Fun video though! I'm in NorCal and the regs here are changing all the time for rockfish and lings based on flawed science over 20 years! Thanks for doing it

When you hit a fish , pull back sharply and stick that hook into the fish. It’s called setting the hook.Otherwise the fish has a chaise of getting off.
