Improving but combo optimisation is still building Nice switch up but the mix could do better. More standard lines into combo needed.

Hey man, i see that you remain with one person, well you could make it through but you need to focus from the start to max out the workbench, then you can start and invest in upgrading the water filter, right now I'm at day 163 with all members with everything max out, but the problem is that you cant go out often the rain is poor and the filter upgrade doesn't take so much water so you can go out and investigate. The rest is simple, trap with spike trap first floor and you will be good to go. The animal food is the best trade for all. Don't use anything for trade except animal meat. If i manage to find the auto refill water that upgrades i can win this endless, but take 10 to 15 days per rain.

Hey man, nice to see someone making a serie in hardcore difficulty in this game. I've played for some hundreds of hours in normal (with some variations to harder) but never did a good game in the hardcore, to stressful (and i dont like the idea of just dont care about one of my persons die [what shows i would've bad at that situation hahaha). Nice commentary too. Sad for this type of content (good content about something rarelly seen) doesn't have many views or likes or comments. :( btw sorry for any mistake in the english, not my mother language :]

More Tips! The schematics are cool, but there's only a few useful ones at your stage, and those are the auto water butt (slowly generates water at all times), the auto pantry (generates more than enough food for a family of four on its own), the luxury shower (uses like two water for a full shower and reduces stress), and the luxury bunkbeds. There's also a better toilet that uses almost no water and cleans the person when they use it. The rest that I've found are just weapons that aren't as good as the hatchet. They rock back and forth, I think, if they have the 'cowardice' trait. There's a small chance each of their turns that they'll be too afraid to fight. Luckily, this trait can, eventually, turn into the strength trait 'bravery'. Either that or cowards just have a higher chance than most of being too afraid, and brave people will never ever be too afraid. The perception trait is only hard to train for children! Reading books increases their perception, just slower than intelligence and charisma. Toys don't do it, but if you've got people with four 20 stats and needing perception, just keep telling them to read.

Well what the heck, you got lucky. When I fought the protection racket there were four of them and two of them had guns. You were prepared for what I had to face, and got baseball bats instead. Well, at least now you've got the stuff to face down the corps if you ever find them. Edit: Oh god you found them. In Canadian and American English, its pronounced 'core', not corps, even though its from the Latin 'corpus' for 'body' and thus should be corps. They can have up to five people in any given patrol, sometimes ALL armed with guns, frequently wearing bullet proof jackets, and even if you 'flee' they'll sometimes catch you. You're right about the fact that two bombs will still ice them all, but if you don't have them, you're toast. They have bullets, and will open up with a full clip, not a single shot.
@Scottthespy7 жыл бұрын
That protection racket is super heavily armed if you go after them, and they'll keep coming and demanding food and breaking your shit if you don't give it to them. The clutch cable...oh man...I'm so sorry, I can't count how many time's I've done this when I get into a groove but...you hit 'confirm transfer' without transferring the items from that expedition over to your storage. Its at 1:46:08 ...you look to see all the stuff, then without clicking the green 'take all' button, you hit 'confirm' and 'yes'. My heart sank when I saw it...it sucks so much when that happens. Also everything's coming from Mexico because I'm in Mexico as I'm watching this. I'm not sure if your videos would normally get suggested here, but I was looking specifically for a Sheltered in Hardcore in English, and there's kind of just you and Palico Padge for that, and a few one or two shots.

Tires are the worst...I don't think you're any more likely to find them than any of the other stuff. I'm so close to having my van working...at day 567ish I'm only an alternator away -_-;
@Scottthespy7 жыл бұрын
I wish you best of luck with getting the camper going...its a pain in the rear. I've got three scrapyards within traveling distance of my hardcore world and I've been desperately trying to get the van complete. I need two more parts, but most of the time the scrapyards yield nothing useful. Your people are getting stressed mostly because of all the puking and not having a toilet. If you get a few more water butts so you can store more water, and get a bucket toilet, you can help with the stress and the trauma a lot just by using the toilet.

hey there fellow hardcore survivor, did you know your survival score reaches the leaderboard on page 1/2 ? it goes to show the fear of attempting such insane gameplay, im here to saulte you great sir as you, like me, are of the few that challenge such epicness and i credit your survival, scotthespy is a name on the leaderboard that pushes passed my attempts. also as a tiny channel i would like to say thank you for the great advice. from one pro to another......we are gods !!! for we walk the hardest of roads
@Scottthespy7 жыл бұрын
By choice, none the less. I watch people struggle on normal mode and cannot comprehend. I know its harder to focus on gameplay when you're trying to provide an entertaining commentary, but normal is so easy! Gets boring quickly. My goal in the game is to get the van moving and find the 'new shelter' quest. From what I hear, though I've not encountered it yet, once you have the van you can get a quest to find 'another surviving family member' in another shelter. you only get to take a few things with you, and the shelter will not be fully upgraded, but it wont be all zeros either. And apparently this can happen over and over? So I want to keep going till my shelter is maxed out and has like 16 family members, if that's possible. Sadly, I've lost one of my family. Right in the first week actually...he left due to stress, which was weird, everyone else was fine but he wouldn't stop freaking out, even when I favored him. It does become and endurance challenge after a while, but I want to confirm or bust this 'new shelters' thing. I'm still enjoying playing along while watching you, even if our playstyles are different (you're a lot more violent).
@Scottthespy7 жыл бұрын
I hit a snag at day 250ish where fuel to keep my systems functioning became the big problem (even with my incinerator and a few solar panels), so there's still challenges to come. But the big thing I've heard of is that if you get the van running, you'll eventually come across a quest to find another family member, in another bunker, with more room in it. I haven't managed to get to that point yet, but I like this kind of game so I'd be happy to watch you play to that point. If you like survival games, and are done with this one, and have a copy of minecraft, I highly recomend the Feed The Beast launcher modpack "Crash Landing" as a hardcore survival game...though it can be a little grindy.

Hey there! Good to see a hardcore play through with some one who's competent in the game! I'm doing a hardcore run myself, and its a trick. My first try didn't even last as long as yours. Now I'm just shy of day four hundred, and I dunno what you may have discovered since uploading this, but I thought I'd throw some stuff I've discovered your way. Stress: a cause for concern in your first play through, and probably the second hardest thing to deal with on hardcore next to the water. Your characters get stressed from seeing a dead body, having too many meters in the red, and from pooping without a toilet or puking, as far as I can tell. Too much radio time also seems to hurt the stress. The best ways to deal with stress are bookshelves for grownups and toy boxes for kids...it seems like a waste of very limited resources, but its almost necessary to get them as SOON as you find a single toy or book. I also got a painting up as soon as I hit tier three crafting bench. Water: Since it rains so very infrequently, getting like three tier two water butts and the water filter efficiency upgraded to the third spot are top priority. You need to be able to store all the water your going to use, so you need to scrimp and save for like three rains to work up enough water to go out. Once you've got 60 water capacity and level three water filter efficiency, considering you've already got a makeshift recycler, I'd say getting a water condenser is your next priority. It can actually make enough water on its own for all your people to drink without any rain. I've got two of them and have the water for regular showers and the best toilet. Automated people: It seems unnecessarily risky to have your people be automatically taking care of their needs. They'll sometimes eat, drink, even shower (when a shower is available) when they're still in the yellow, wasting precious resources. Its kind of annoying to micromanage them, but in an 'every resource counts' situation like this, it's far safer. Showers: Getting people into the yellow for hygiene before feeding them stops them from getting sick, which as I said is bad for stress. But you can shower them without wasting tones of water! It takes I think three water to shower from full to JUST inside the yellow with the efficient shower, so you can stick some one in the shower, watch them, then tell them to stop showering and immediately go eat. They don't get sick, it doesn't take much water, and less stress is had. Raids: Once people start getting in on raids, they will steal EVERYthing they touch, but if you have a strength 20 character and a hatchet, they will one turn kill ANY person. You can put that person in the way of the raiders and just slaughter them until they're all gone. Nothing gets stolen. Now, this DOES traumatize the hell out of the killer, but if you have a bookshelf for them you can immediately lower their trauma. So, highly recommended once you have a bookshelf. That's about all I've got...sorry if I mentioned something you already mentioned. Just happy to see a fellow hardcore player, wanted to help out.^^. Love the series, hope to see more of it!

thank you, and yeah i agree on everything you said which also proves you play hardcore too which is good to know. i think i would disable showers rather than micro manage people but thats just the lazy option, once out of red they can eat which made sense to me and a good call. respect fellow hardcore gamer !
