I agree. He was not a Buddhist, based on his behavior. Christ could possibly have been a deva but not a bodhisattva. He could also not possibly have been an arhat or a Tathagata. So he was certainly not a Fully Enlightened Buddha, either. He displayed no attributes of an arhat. For example: 1) He lost his temper, overturning the tables in the temple. An arhat would have full control over his passions. 2) He performed public miracles (an arhat would never do such a thing). 3) He publicly told his disciples of his spiritual achievements (an arhat would not have done this). 4) He suggested a dualist doctrine of eternal reward or eternal torture. An Enlightened One would not subscribe to such cruelty - even in the name of justice. 5) He denied Kamma - stating that you can negate your Kamma by simply accepting him as your god. This horror would never occur to an Enlightened One. 6) He believed in the existence of the atman, which is the very opposite of what we know through Dhamma - the self is not there. Only anatta. So no, Christ was a most UN-Buddhist person. Namo Buddhaya

So there is some weak evidence to idictate that Jesus teachings may have been infleunced by Bhuddhism cause Ashokan had sent Buddhist minssionaries to Greece around 250 BC.

We love Jesus but with all due respect, you did not prove anything against the claims in this video. Buddha was born roughly 500 years before Jesus and there are so many similarities in Jesus' preaching's to Buddhist texts. Add to that majority of his young age is missing in the texts about his life. I don't mind Jesus being influenced by Buddhism because Buddhism is a great philosophy and it's built on facts, not on belief.

There is a problem. Buddha's first biography was not written until the second century AD which is post Christ. Similarities are in every religion. It's like if you mix a truth in a lie, then lie sounds like truth. Missing years of Jesus? There is no need for his 18 years of life because the goal of the gospel is to tell what Jesus did for humanity. He started preaching at the age of 30. There is no point in adding those 18 years of his normal life anyway. And if you believe Jesus came to India and learn for 18 years, that has a problem too. Because Jesus was preaching in the temple at the age of 12 and those who were listening to him were wondering about the wisdom he had. So there is no point in saying that Jesus went to India to become wise. His teachings are totally different from other religions.
