this is by far my favorite painting of all time, it has all in it, story, drama, art, and music, it's just a piece that I can see over and over again, I actually have it on my wall (obviously a fake one) but every morning I see it and it inspires me, I would give anything to have the chance to see it.

Usporedjivati Rembranta s Repinom je cista glupost. Repinove slike imaju dusu i patnju vremena u kojem su naslikane dok je Rembrant bio socajety slikar u zlatnom dobu nederlandskog slikarstva koje mu je omogucilo da ima slikarsku tvornicu s puno radnika...tako da se danas slike pripisuju cas njemu cas nekeom od njegovih slikarskih radnika. Sam Rembrant je bio lijena i arogantna osoba da bi naslikao toliko slika koje se danas pripisuju njemu. Kod Rubensa se vidi jak slikarski dozivljaj, dok je Rembrant bezizrazajan.Repin i Rubens su daleko ispred Rembranta.
