Don’t know if you’re still around, but my ex mark started making some noise back there and it bogs down when mowing. Sounds like it’s coming from the clutch area little bit of a chirping sound. Did yours do that and what do you think? Thanks

Not sure you answered the original question about belts… you spent most of the time talking about blades and other parts.

@theoriginalfixitallgarage Hey, I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video and comment! Not every belt is made the same, but in my experience, the Exmark belt for the main drive held up well. However, the other Exmark belts didn't last as long. I did find a couple of aftermarket belts for the Ultra Vac vacuum that worked okay. Thanks again for your comment!

Here is one for you. I have a 2023 exmark radius with less than 250 hours on it. After the unit is running for an hour or two, the clutch will stop working until it cools down. Will make a faint buzzing noise sometimes but it has been doing it for at least 100 hours. Still under warranty but the dealer can't replicate the issue
@oakwoodlawnmaintenancellc.10932 күн бұрын
Hey man, I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're having. If you haven't already fixed it, you might want to ask the dealer if they could ohm it out, to see if there's a direct short to ground in the PTO clutch. Hope that helps!

What's your recommendation on after market belts and blades. The price difference is unreal.
@oakwoodlawnmaintenancellc.10932 күн бұрын
For the main drive belt, I paid full price name brand. my thinking was, Buy once, cry Once. I did buy aftermarket belts for the ultravac, it seemed like it would eat belts up like candy, Stretch them out. Blades and other consumables, I would buy them off of Amazon. I used a lot of the copperhead High lift blades they worked Okay. Unfortunately, I got the best prices from Amazon, I tried to buy locally. Amazon is so dam convenient.

@@oakwoodlawnmaintenancellc.1093 The OEM deck belt here was $186 and the drive belt was $53. Can't really complain because the mower is 7 years old. Blades are about 60% cheaper online. I'm running a mulching kit on mine and I love it. I only do 4 yards for widow women. I appreciate your opinion and look forward to more videos

My oil drain tube is stuck onto the nipple, any hacks to get it off of the nipple without breaking things?
@the_atomic_punk4872 күн бұрын
If anyone is wondering, I was able to get it off while lightly prying with a screw driver and twisting the tube, while the engine was warm.

Is trailer holding up good ? Is it pro series ? Roof had 1 yr warranty ?
@oakwoodlawnmaintenancellc.1093Ай бұрын
No, it's not the pro series. I've had no trouble with the roof. No leaks dries can be inside. I would buy it again. I'm very pleased with it.

Please explain where the plug is at for the PTO clutch. You mention, “down there” but I’m not sure where to look or what I’m looking for.
@oakwoodlawnmaintenancellc.10932 ай бұрын
There should be some wires down around the PTO Clutch, it has a connector that requires a flathead screwdriver to gently lift up on the tab while you're pulling the wires.

Some manufacture's recommend: Use torque wrench to tighten (55 ftlbs), no lock tite. Last Step: Before use, Burnish new clutch/ Roter and armiture come together as both need to be broken in. Put deck into top position - Start tractor, Briefly run at 3/4 throttle, run /disengage for 10 times. Thank you.

How do you release the hydraulic in the back wheels to push the mower if it breaks down and you have to push it?
@oakwoodlawnmaintenancellc.10932 ай бұрын
on both sides of the mower underneath the back there should be a knob that you would unloosen and then pull the rod to release the hydraulics.

Hey can you fit two stand on mowers in this setup and a push mower? Thanks

I use a block of timber behind the wheels of the auger in the truck, it holds the machine in place nicely.
@jamesnm214 ай бұрын
How often do you use the down force? I've seen full sized V plows ride up over sticky or dense snow so weight alone will not always do the trick. A backdrag edge will help but they also wear out kinda fast from what I hear. I'd rather just have one edge to worry about and a plow that can stay down tight to the ground.

My model is a "yardworks" but the engine looks the same. I was told it's basically a MTD . Will try this on a warm day. It surges on full speed and wants to stall-out when I slow the throttle down below about half way. Sure hope this works. Clay Oh I already took the bowl off the bottom and cleaned that.

Thanks a bunch for sharing that video! I actually live in Michigan too, in Rochester Hills. I ran into the exact same issue with my used blower. It's been around for about 3 years, and just yesterday, I noticed this rough idle sound. I tried taking apart the carburetor jet, but no luck. Then, I stumbled upon your video and followed your tips. It worked like a charm! The issue is completely gone now, and I'm so happy I found your advice

Thanks fot the video. Mine wouldn't start this year so i dropped the bowl and pulled the jet up in and got it all back together and it fired right up. I was excited till i realized it only ran with the choke half on haha
@TheBoberic6 ай бұрын
Isn't the idle screw just a stop for the throttle mechanism rather than an adjustment for the jet that it holds in? Also, I don't think the presence of the idle jet has anything to do with EPA regs.

Building a workplace culture for employees that makes them feel like they are appreciated is so underrated. Ive stayed at jobs that didnt pay as much just because i respected my boss. Ive also worked for bosses who pushed me too hard and should have hired a second person and not talked down to me as much. These are great tips. It is very cool how people are able to earn money these days like you said. Really have to think outside the box and try to respect people. They have so many options!
