Could've talked about useful load, performance, engine & avionics, fuel burn, and other planes he's flown & how this compares. I'm not sure I agree that RVs aren't adequate for x/c flights. I routinely flew an RV-9 about 850 mi (1 stop enroute) to visit family.

Two more beautiful airplanes. I'm curious about what Bob used for engine gear reduction on the Mustang II.

It is my understanding the BD 4C has corrosion protection as they have it dipped. It’s not anodized but something similar.

Hiya. Are you going to use the old skins to cover her or are you planning on using new sheet? I'm about to embark on a similar BD4 restoration of a damaged and neglected airframe/engine...gulp...!

You sir, are a PATIENT man ! Slow and steady, and obviously very thorough. I hope you are enjoying yourself. I have purchased cars that have required this level of attention to restore them. I call the my "Mental Therapy" projects. :-}

Yeah, what's all the music in airplane vids? Does more than the originator think it is a great idea. If the vid looks god I just turn down the sound and enjoy it that way,

Outstanding, Bob. I'm planning on putting a 13B turbo in a CH-640. What turbo and what kind of porting (if any) did you use on this engine? Are the rads up front or ducted to the back?

Looks good Bob. Congratulations on the build. She sure looks a lot longer on the cowl to cover up that 13B. How much longer is it. I have been contemplating the same engine for mine. Oms in Alberta

At 3:20 it also looks like he did a practice stall and the right wing dropped quite a bit; so it looks like he got a little slow on that first landing at 5 feet off the runway and the right wing dropped again. Glad it was a safe flight, and big accomplishment to get a project like this in the air!

@@rv9flyer13brotary9 good eye! that landing looked well controlled until the dip & the ailerons didn't appear to cause it so yeah, had to be a stall. Really glad he was 3' from the ground. Awesome plane.
