My older brother bought a wheelchair from Shopee, same as the one in this video, to tell you the truth, the frame is weak and it is not stable, their is a tendency that it might break when in use. Rust are quick to develop in joints, for safety reason I stopped using it and transferred the wheels to my old wheelchair that was given by a friend. It is better in my opinion to purchase at medical suppliers, why? simply because you can physically inspect the material quality. Remember safety of the user should always be the priority, yes the price is much higher ranging from 4,000 to 7,000 depending on brands and types, motorized are more expensive. If you can go to Bambang street at Tondo Manila, you can get a good quality wheelchair for a price of 3,000 to 3,500 and a bit higher price like 4,000 for a very sturdy built. Don't get me wrong, I also do many transactions in Shopee, Lazada or other online sellers, but what don't like from this stores is the system of payment first, accept item, and if their is an issue complain later. Now if your are buying an item worth thousands of peso like a wheelchair, getting a refund or a replacement which certainly they will give you a same quality, is very hard. To save you the troubles buy on physical stores, or suppliers that will agree for payment cash upon delivery and after inspection. Their are also online sellers that demand payment first before delivery via gcash or bank transaction, don't buy from them since you devoid yourself inspecting the product for defaults, this type of transaction in my opinion is a scam.
