I like how the chorus on his sound sometimes makes the notes sound like little bubbles..

IMHO Hedges was the greatest guitarist who has ever lived. Pushed the boundaries of the instrument into infinity❤

Hello, my friend. Love your comment. When I was 27 in 1987, about one month before this performance, I witnessed his greatness at the Montreal Jazz Fest, at the great Place des Arts Centre. I've been hooked by his brilliance ever since. Take good care!!! from Tim in Southwestern Ontario.

I loved the little finishing touch at the very end, the last note. During the applause, the song's not over, the notes are still ringing, then he tunes the bottom string up a minor third, and then THAT'S the end. So subtle. So cool. I'm still smiling.

♡The Happy Couple: "This is a study of - on the guitar - of notes played in unison so i decided to call it "The Happy Couple." “This is a song that i wrote for my guitar and i." Michael + his sweetheart = a happy couple. First Played in Concert - March 20, 1981, Singer's Alley, Ellicott City, MD.🎶The printed music for “The Happy Couple” is sold as an individual transcription. “The Happy Couple” is a profound composition which, in its construction, explores the application to the guitar of a concept which Arnold Schoenberg first termed klangfarbenmelodie (tone color melody). This transcription was developed from the audio recording Breakfast in the Field, Windham Hill Records, 1981, WD-1017. "Rhythm, Sonority, Silence" by Michael Hedges and John Stropes
