The history of gumbo z’herbes (green gumbo, a south Louisiana dish) is from France and Germany. The real name of gumbo z’herbes is gombo aux herbes in Louisiana French. The name comes from the green soup from France called potage aux herbes. It’s a green soup. It usually uses 9 greens. When making gumbo z’herbes, it’s traditionally eaten on Holy Thursday and to use usually 7 or 9 types of greens when making it. In Germany, there is a green soup that uses 7 greens to make and is eaten specifically on Holy Thursday called seven green soup (Sieben Kräutersuppe) and in some parts of Germany it’s called green Thursday soup (Gründonnerstagsuppe). You can see the 7 or 9 greens of gumbo z’herbes comes from French and German influence. Both the french and German soups are green soups and are similar to each other and both are the origin of the Louisiana version. The name of gumbo z’herbes comes from the french green soup which is the original origin of gumbo z’herbes. The influence from the 7 green Holy Thursday German soup also comes from blending of styles with the french soup, the number of greens used and it being eaten on Holy Thursday. And because in Louisiana, a gumbo is usually a class of soup-stew creations, the name gumbo was used in place of potage for the name gombo aux herbes. Gombo z’herbes is written with a z because it’s based on phonetic French pronunciation of aux + herbes. This history is verified in historic literature from Louisiana. The french were in Louisiana since 1699 and the Germans were in Louisiana since 1721 and both were colonial Louisiana populations.

Cheaper to take a coco cola bottle. Rinse it out. Let it dry out. Take gorilla glue. Glue the top closed. Cut a hole in the bottle big enough near the top.( not the near top) big enough to put bills and even change if you want. Not easy to access the momey✌🏾. Then save save save until you are ready to cut the bottle open. 👍🏾

Buy some Tajin chili powder and lemons.. then wet the rim with lemon juice and dip it into the chili so that it coats the cup of the rim.. then add your cucumber lemonade 😋 also works if you substitute watermelon for the cucumber.. the salty chili powder with lemons will change your life forever 🥰🤣 good luck 🤞

@@LynnLynn369 it's a drink that you find alot in Mexico.. try it 👍 I think it's a good way to bring in fans from Mexico to your channel when they see you trying their drink 😋 oh and last tip is if you can use Raw Agave as a sweetener rather than cane sugar... Agave is much sweeter, smoother, and healthier.. new sub here 💛

Green capsicums are not ripe that is why they are cheaper they turn red on the vine so red one's take longer to grow and green are not as sweet as red. Hi from Tasmania

The green peppers are cheaper because they are all technically the same pepper, it’s just which order they get picked off the plant. So green gets picked first, then yellow and orange, then red stays on the longest so it’s usually the most expensive.
