Here’s the issue: at the end of the video, a dialogue box appears saying, “it couldn’t recognize that the ignition is on.” This is a major problem when trying to erase codes. When you attempt to erase codes, the app asks you to turn off the ignition. There’s a dialogue box related to the ignition switch that must be unchecked before the codes can be erased. However, because the app cannot recognize when you’ve turned off the ignition, you’re unable to erase the codes at all. There’s supposedly an app called “Ignition Switcher” that’s designed to handle this, but good luck finding a usable version. Some forums also mention manually editing a SIM file to fix the issue, but that doesn’t work either. So while this may be a recent release, it’s far from functional.
