I used to think lidl and aldi were the best to shop at in terms of value for money. I don't have the option to shop at them anymore, so I do the Dunnes home delivery, theyre certainly not the cheapest but the vouchers make up for it. Lookin at the items on your receipt, I can see no difference in basics like the cheese, milk, butter, ham, cream, and vegetables in comparison to price. Infact, some of them are price matched. There's little competition now which is no surprise.

Great strimmer ,but iIam having trouble replacing the spool and cord. make sure you buy the replacement cutting cord with it, in the shp and ask them to show you how to replace it..

We are in the top 5 for the highest cost of living in Europe. Last year we were behind Switzerland ! I have found over the last 2 years Lidl and Aldi for basics are no cheaper than the rest. Also finding, even when fruit and some veg are in season, the price does not come down a lot. You are correct when you say prices have doubled, on some goods, they are getting to point of triple of what they were.
