City of Winterhaven! God bless all of you. Way to step up, stand up, get educated and get involved in change. Our unborn, new born and children are bombarded with toxins in food, water and the insane vaccination schedule. The run away train that is the medical industrial complex is mostly about profit and very little about that health of humans. So much of what we have been told is false. The studies are not present. The promise of safe and effective is a lie. Long term studies are never completed. Testing in combination with other drugs is never done. Keep learning folks. Today it is critical that each person is their own health care advocate. Most doctors don't know and if they do, many will not be truthful.

It is important to note that 4 downtown women's owned businesses have shut down in 2 months ! between June and July 2024! On another note, Increasing/having impact fees and water prices and so much more is not inspiring real people with good ideas to invest or live in Winter Haven. The 2024 WH budget has $151million in a "capital investment" fund- that means that they BUY $151 million in land and services in ONE YEAR! and our population is only 58,000! The mayor laughed at the speaker looking to analyze impact fees and said he has 2 more times to speak up, as if it is aready decided. We need people to come and question what is going on, it is very possible our Mayor and representatives simply do not know. I didn't know what i didn't know ... but now i know and follow Jesus' commandment of Love your neighbor as you love yourself. In my understanding of my bible and COMMON SENSE, water is free and should not be poisoned (fluoride and chlorine is added to WH water). Free flowing clean water should not be limited to any man or woman or child. Take a look at this 20 min documentary on Fluoride kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJ64hqWQf8Z7hrcsi=ZUshrud_FmqI4qJk

All good stuff and very nicely produced. I particularly agree with Jamie pointing out the preferred runway and the reasoning for it. However, & much to my chagrin, this is commonly disregarded. Between a pattern full of training aircraft and transient pilots who can't be bothered to read the airport notes, trying to properly use the preferred runway causes conflicts with pilots who want to operate into the wind, no matter if it is <5 kts. It is for this reason that I believe consideration should be given to removing the note and signage. The potential for a midair near or on the airport is greatly increased when one pilot properly uses the preferred runway and another pilot thinks they are correct by simply flying into light, but prevailing wind. It places both sets of pilots at odds and the chance of a collision seems to be the greater risk than any concerns over having a place to go when the engine quits. The seaplane operations add complexity and the preferred runway helps of course, but we really won't have a suitable solution until we get the ATC tower. With large North & South ramps, self fueling remote from the FBO, intersecting runways, seaplanes and copious flight training, KGIF is at times complicated. Until the tower is in place, I believe it to be the safer course to delete this variable and just let folks land and takeoff into the wind, even in light conditions. It would certainly eliminate a lot of haranguing on what is an already grossly congested CTAF about who is more correct.

I currently work QA at a soda factory. We have our own pretreat facility in-house. I am strongly considering transferring to a wwtp operator role. I really appreciate videos like this. Thank you.

Pay varies wildly by location. Also in my state there are 4 levels depending which test you take and get certified. I've seen postings from 24 to 37 an hour. Crazy variation

Love seeing this! Well done, KGIF! This is a model we should all mirror at every airport.

Very nicely done. With busy split North and South ramps, cross runways, increased flight training & a seaplane operation, a control tower cannot come soon enough. Com is important here and I ALWAYS used a handheld in my J-3 during the time I had it. At minimum, KGIF sorely needs a unicom frequency that is different from the surrounding airports. Fly safe!

I was born in Miami in the 1970s and I live there my whole life I had to leave 13 years ago to come live here in Winter Haven Florida because of the overcrowded Ness in the over development. I just couldn’t stand the traffic in the construction anymore, and I couldn’t afford to live there it became unbearable, please don’t make Winterhaven the same overdeveloped. I love it here in Winterhaven. It reminds me of old country living but it’s getting to a point where there’s plenty of traffic and overdevelopment as well as Miami. Please don’t let it happen. Stop it while you can.

My Mom called for help for her son in Winter Haven. When responders showed up he was given no CPR as he should have according to protocols. Instead claims of lividity n rigor mortis were made yet he was heard speaking on the audio that was retrieved from the trash bin of the computer. Very important to note too EMS were only 0.8 miles and 1.6 miles from him speaking after 5am on a Saturday. The CAD Dispatch report has him speaking and breathing as well. People involved still working! My brother was a 58 yr old Father of Two and Navy Vet. We miss him.

Oops..one more thing..we came when the Boston Red Sox called us home for Spring Training...then the Cleveland Indians...what happened? The snowbirds that supported this town economically were lost, then Cypress Gardens demise.. you have to realize at that time, we were in a ghost town mode, all the citrus and farm land is depleted. I never see road side vegetable vendors, ...don't grow up too fast or we will blend with Tampa/Orlando..

My family and I came here in 1971. We have seen HUGE changes ...many community leaders have passed on leaving a legacy, I just hope the younger generation doesn't make this place another Miami and keep that small town feel...bring that back

At this point the over building without improving the infrastructure is just ruining the quality of life for those that already live here. The reason people love the area is because it isn't like Orlando or Tampa and now that is being removed and replaced with excessive construction. Once it's gone you can't put the appeal back

My wife Jane and I came to Winter Haven to primarily enjoy the major league baseball in the winters. We lengthened our stays to 7 months and became Florida residents. We have participated in the economy by owning three homes here including redevopment of The Haven hotel. We love the town and all it has to offer to the point that Jane is President of the Womans Club of WH(oldest civic orgaization in the City-110 years) located at home of WHs museum ar 660 Pope Avenue. Please visit and/or join.

I appreciate all of you who work hard to enhance Winter Haven. Sorry but the community/small town atmosphere is gone. You can’t drive from one side of the town to the other without traffic jams. The people want to know what the plans are for improving infrastructure. I have emailed the economic development council twice with no response. We also still have to travel to Tampa or Orlando to shop. (Maybe Lakeland). Please address these concerns of the citizens of this community.
