My octogenarian mother can barely speak a complete sentence when she’s on her phone - which is most of the day. Phone and TV blaring all the time. She does not live alone.

Fortuitous video. I just got a smart charging brick that fast charges and steps down to a trickle charge after 80%. Allowing one to leave it plugged in all day without destroying the battery. Thank you for your transparency on your journey to overcome our current epidemic of becoming curated by algorithms.

I was looling at a house in one of those local free real estate pamphlets in the box in front of convince stores and iI actuality tapped on a paper printed thumbnail so I could enlarge the image 🙄🤣🤣

I went to Disney World last year. I couldn't believe how bad the phone situation was. Everywhere you go, couples, families, friends...all had their phones out. The took videos and pictures of literally everything. None of it for them but their social media accounts. On lines, while eating and even more on the rides themselves. Always tapping away or recording. No one talked to each other. Just nose deep on their phones

Intentional phone use is hard when antipatterns are baked into the design of phones. It's like saying media literacy will stop misinformation. Like to some extent individually it will, but the platforms we use are intentionally designed to promote anger and agitation. I think being intentional with phone use can help to some extent, but it's just easier to not have to worry at all, or waste energy trying. Delete social media or get a dumb phone. But that's also a problem when you don't have other things to do. Idk man, I think young people need places to go and do things at least.

I think I have come a long way with my phone addiction. I did some weird stuff like get an extremely small charger cable so it's essentially unusable when charging, I switched to large headphones so it's just a little less accessible and I picked up my hobbies and became super serious about them. I'm still addicted af don't get me wrong but I'm in a BETTER position lol! Great video!

2014 Bootcamp graduate here. Been in the tech industry for 8 years. Had to change jobs a lot. Every time it gets harder. Comtemplating going back to school for a CS degree at 35 years old. It is such a hard decision. Do you really think that a CS degree was a game-changer for you?

I still think the market is wrong about software engineers demand -- we need more. Unless Zuck and co have something new to share with us, the bots arent writing my code as of today and not for lack of trying. None of the current bots have demonstrated they can consistently build and maintain complex software (basically all software), and the code they produce isnt extensible so its a non-starter for MOST software delivery. Thats not been seen in any studies nor on the ground. And the large companies telling us this are themselves NOT using these bots in this way. Ill believe it when I see it.

To my knowledge the floor method is not needed; length of array will always be whole integer not float and when you divide by 2 it will always return "floored" integer in ruby and some other languages. For instance 7/2 will return 3, not 3.5, which is stupid imo but it serves well for this purpose

My O(1) solution ``` function minSubArrayLen(arr, n) { if (!arr.length) return undefined let i=0 let j=0 let tmpSum = arr[i] let minLen = Infinity while(i < arr.length && j < arr.length){ if (i === j){ if (tmpSum >= n){ minLen = Math.min(minLen, (j-i)+1) tmpSum-= arr[i] i++ j++ tmpSum+= arr[j] continue } if (tmpSum < n){ j++ tmpSum+= arr[j] continue } } if (tmpSum >= n){ minLen = Math.min(minLen, (j-i)+1) tmpSum-= arr[i] i++ continue } if (tmpSum < n){ j++ tmpSum+= arr[j] continue } } return minLen === Infinity ? 0 : minLen; } ```

Hi Adam Coder. In your first example, the reason why the space complexity is O(1) is because you are counting "let i=0" from the loop??

Thanks however variable assignment doesn't always equate to o(n). If we stored the sum it will be o(1) since the space will always be 1.
