What ever happened to the other renditions of this song? All I see is this one which is much like the many of same one by Gracie Fieids.

Is it a C250? They are a superb machine, especially in Oak :-)
@gramophoneshane2 ай бұрын
@@Michael.Chapman it's actually a C19, but basically the same as the C250, apart from the drawers being replaced with record slots, which I find are way better than the drawers

I own at least three of this record. It's my favorite by far! The instrumentals are out of this world. There will never be music like this again.

There is a flower within my heart, daisy, daisy! Planted one day by a glancing dart. Planted by daisy bell. Weather she loves me or loves me not. Sometimes its hard to tell. Yet i am longing to share the lot of beautiful daisy bell. Daisy, daisy give me your answer do! Im half crazy all for the love of you! It wont be a stylish marriage. I cant afford a carridge, but you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for 2! Cant remember the rest of the song.😂

Thanks! My 78 stylus broke recently so I’m unable to listen to any of my 78s, this is one of my favourites, I’m truly “GLAD” to have found a version uploaded to KZbin while my stylus is getting replaced!

And yet today it's fascinating to listen to those people's voices recorded more than 100 years ago
The remastered version is great, but hearing it through an old stereo system like this with the old cracks and pops sounds so much better.

This is the only video I can find of this song. Every so often I listen to it while I rehearse before singing it to my girlfriend. We recently became adults and have been together for three years. I hope we will be together a life time.

Our music teacher Miss Baker taught us this song in the middle sixties and I can still remember the words. She taught us a few old English songs which have stayed with me.

This Aussie singer was so popular in New Zealand. My grandmother had many of his 78rpm recordings and even up to the late 1950s his songs were still very popular on the weekly Sunday request session on the radio. Peter Dawson's version of this song still touches my heart today ❤

My parents played this record for me. It was a 78 and the flip side was the Teddy 🧸 Bear's picnic. I can also recall Little Toot tugboat. I can also remember my dad accidentally stepping on it also.! So Little toot was shattered and so was I! I can also recall a small blue record. It was a children's song about Matthew, Mark Luke and John. Thanks for sharing. God bless

My dad used to play this when l was a child/teenager He would walk around the house whistling it too. It sort of embedded as a ear worm but up until a week ago l had no idea of the song or singer I'm in my 70's Managed to solve it with good old Mr.Google 😂
