Did not get to see Shuttleworth this year, any show they put on is always my favourite show. So thanks for posting this reminds me how much I enjoy going.

Hello, what setup you use? greetings
@derekchapman86832 ай бұрын
I've sold this model on now, but I was running it on 8S (2 x 4S 4500mah). The motor was an Overlander Thumper V2 T6354/16 with an 80 amp ESC. The propellor was a 19"..... but can't recall the pitch? Probably 6 or 8? I can highly recommend this setup. It had stacks of power and flew like a dream...... and good flight time too. I modified the structure to make a top hatch for the batteries. This also meant I had to lower the servo tray (to make room for the battery box) and redo the runs for the linkages in the fuselage. The fuselage is cavernous though, so access not too bad. Just make sure you get the batteries as far forward as possible to get the C of G right. The Seagull GeeBee looks like it should be tricky to fly, but trust me, it's not! It flies very nicely indeed!! I actually wish I'd kept this model now!

Definitely needs a bit more power at least for some sort of reserve! also very clearly needs some aileron differential or ail/rudd mix as it's getting pretty severe adverse yaw! nice build though, love the rotary engine.

It's a beautiful model Steve...... congratulations on both the build and flying it in such a fantastic scale like manner. Gas Turbine is out of my reach, but this is one of my favourite aircraft, so hopefully an EDF version some day?! 🤞

Beautiful jet, and EDF. I just received the new CAMO version, and I love it on 6000mAh. It's perfect next to my Freewing L-39 80mm CAMO.

Nice. I've got the kit but going with a Saito 4 stroke. Probably an FG-11. What electric motor and batts did you use? Just curious. How did you do the rigging? Like the kit or did you do something different? Thanks. Chris

Thankyou. Ground handling would no doubt be much easier if the camera gave a live feed to the instrument panel- no more massive blind spot! I don't know if the lateral wobble on the stbd. tyre is symptomatic of runout in the wheel or distortion of the tyre carcase itself. Interesting sound effects when the flaps disturbed the airflow.

Terrific quality off video Derek, one thing if u fix ur aperture u won't get flashes when light changes as I saw in a few areas. Just manually set it check it and then try it set at that fixed setting.

Will take a look at that Rodger.... thanks.. 👍
@rodgercostello98142 жыл бұрын
@@derekchapman8683 quite easy derek just change aperture to fixed, set it check right for light and job done. Makes big diff as when u turn into dark or brighr the aperture changes if auto.which causes the low and bright at times till it sorts it. Simple wee things lol and only observation derek , must admit quality from that wee thing is darn good.
