It isn’t reversed. Meanders can’t be formed from a straight river unless an external disturbance happens

@@bigbrainisaac2407 That isn't an Oxbow lake. An Oxbow Lake is formed where the meander meets at two bends and merges into one larger meander which continues to extend even further. This "lake" will eventually be absorbed back into the river. The river hasn't passed it. It has receded back and left it. And as it continues to meander it will knock through into it again. It's completely different. Infact almost the opposite.
