Hello all, this is a great video. I’ve been told by my instructor that this type of belaying only lets the device be used in one direction, is this correct? I can’t see how this is the case. I may have misheard him.

How do you even evaluate brand new shoes? You need to break them in at least. The shoe will be in its broken in state for 99% of its lifespan. That’s what needs to be reviewed. Climb in them for a month, let them mould to your feet and tell me what you learned.

Petzl already made ropes several years ago (remember the orange one ? ) and they weren’t great by any means. They should stick with what they do well

This video clearly shows me again that climbing shoes are completely overrated in the climbing hall. It simply depends on your ability.

Fit triumphs anything else in a climbing shoe. Wont work unless it fits.

She says she went up half size but the text is mentioning half size downsizing or I got confused? Performance sizing in soft shoes but at the same time soft shoes should not be this tight to get the benefit of flexing so not sure what performance sizing means in these. I have the normal zenist but don't use them at all. Together with the phantoms are my worst purchases.

@JippaJ they don't seem to fit better than the rest of the shoes I have , in any boulder. They are not versatile and for slabs or big volumes I prefer other not as soft shoes as them (flagship pros or odam ondra comps). I don't trust them. Maybe it's just me and my footwork not being as solid. But the dragos gave me far more confidence/ felt much better even if I prefer the trax rubber to vibram's. E.g. shamans have been the most used and reliable shoe I had .

How is the heel? in shoes like drago, v6, drone 2.0 almost all shoes the heel is to big, i would be happy to get an answer.

I find the heels in regular Zenist work well for me, and have similar problems with the Drago and Drone. Not tried the Pro version but assume the fit is the same. My main shoes are La Sportiva Futura and La Sportiva Theory which both work really well for me (but need to downsize quite a lot).

@@PotatoSalad11I’ve owned both the original Zenist and current mains are the Pros. They do not fit the exact same, Zenist heel ends lower down on the Achilles tendon compared to the Pros. However, do note that I am using the LVs so the LVs heel fit better than the original Zenist men’s. Sizing wise, I went with US9 on og Zenist and US8.5 in Pros.

Will be interesting to see a comparison between these and the LV version- dont usually go for the LV version, but the LV of V6 feels better to me - always wanted to try these but my centre doesn’t stock them.

🗽 I am wearing the 2nd VSR... I'm happy with this shoe. For normal climbing I often even do not close the velcro. The velcro is the only thing I would improve! It wears too fast. Okay, one more criticism: The toe patch for me is a bit too stiff (very thick rubber). .

Poor quality of crafting. Won't last 3 months and get shreded where there is no reason to. It's only due to poor quality. Made in China shoes.

6 months of climbing with 2 pairs of souped up. The comfort in it is amazing. The grip is good. What they won't tell you is the poor quality of craft. Unpallel is producing its climbing shoes in China ... 180e for a shoes that is made in China shows no respect for customers. The quality of the product is really poor. Both of my shoes broke on the top of the big toe. When i received them, the shoes had glue all over the top. I'll never buy again to unparralled, they have big issue with product quality.
