That's a BFT Monster net, The vertical is better for bank angling but the monster and XL monster are better for boat anglers.

@@v1tam1ns personally I prefer to feel the hooks with my fingers when chinning pike because at least I know where they are. If you have gloves you can get the points stuck in the glove and then you are in trouble.

I have literally hand landed 1000’s of pike over the years on the boat but I still couldn’t fish without a net just in case a fish of a lifetime came along.

@@AdyWoodchucker It is certainly a disadvantage without a proper net, especially in a kayak for both the health of the pike and myself lol. My kayak isn't really design for fishing but it gets the job done.. Where are you fishing out of, is that a northern English accent? Im in Northern Minnesota and have had some decent pike in my life but i know there are bigger to be had, and the net would be a necessity for that!

I've caught the odd perch trolling for pike but haven't tried targeting perch by trolling. Enjoyed your video, theres not many video's on trolling for perch.
