I had 225.5 kgs across my shoulders in front, took the bar off stands. That's all I did, support it in standing position for 5 seconds. It felt like it was about to drill me through the concrete floor. I weighed 69 kgs. Varbanov I understand did 225 kgs the entire lift in training and cleaned 230. What a machine.

Because Bulgaria was ran by the Soviets they didn't alow him to carry his real actual name .they gave him a list of Bulgarian names to choose from,and once our president Turgut Ozal the time heard about this problem, he litteraly brought this man to Turkey and made him a Turkish citizen,but he is a Turk by blod already. So then he became the greatest ever because he had to prove to Soviets and the whole world that u can't change nothing about Turks,not even their names .

Hi I am “Dungca” I had gone to Jarkarta, Indonesia 1988 Women’s Championship with my Coach Mike. I represented 🇬🇺 Guam. I remember everyone messed up but it was the most powerful experience in my entire life. I loved the culture it was so amazing. I am one of those Champion. I also went to Great Britain, Manchester, England. It was a pleasure to be a part of the women’s Weightlifting Championship I will forever live my sport, and O will be forever great full for my Coach Mike Cuchovic. God Bless

It could be a lot of factors, but possibly I think back in the day, they had what we don't have these days: more nutritionally dense food. When you give your body food that comes from healthy soil, your testosterone & organs function a lot better, allowing you to achieve greater physical feats. Most of the food bodybuilders and powerlifters eat today are calories in calories out, meaning they get bigger but their internal organs are lacking the real thing, which is vitamins & minerals. Ofc we have synthetics but I've never been a fan of that. Anyway, I could be wrong so don't take my word for granted.
