A great guitarist. Seen him perform at Anderson Fair in Houston,Texas. I'm a finger style guitarist playing for 56 years and Mr.Legg is a huge influence on my playing style. More people should go to hear him play. AWESOME!!!!

Schumacher, Senna, Lauda, Piquet, Mansell and Prost. So many great drivers and always great rivalries. Hamilton only ever had a genuine rival in a car that could compete, and he lost that title. The rest of his career has been in a dominant Mercedes with a #2 driver. His records are great but he never faced the competition the others faced.

Eddie Irvine said once in an interview "Michael was quite exceptional. Even when things were going really bad, he worked with Todt to hold the whole thing together, which was quite amazing.” “In my day there was, after [Ayrton] Senna’s death, only Michael. No one could drive a car like Michael Schumacher. That is what helped Ferrari at the time, because they could never point a finger at him. Rightly so because he was never to blame.” “When we were teammates I knew I was not as good as Michael. When I saw Michael drive I realised he could do things I could not do with the car. Mika [Häkkinen] was perhaps better than the rest of us but Michael was better than him too.” Of today’s drivers, Irvine said, “Vettel is a arrogant, well educated kid and damn good driver, but not on Michael’s level, Lewis [Hamilton] is a damn good driver, but everyone knew Michael was on a different level.” He said everyone knew. There was no question about it.

Smooth but capable of going over the edge, finding the limit, and bringing it back under control instantly. He knew how to work with the engineers and designers to get the most out of the car to suit his style. He had one lap pace as good as anyone but he also knew how to get the car to the end even when broken. Perhaps his greatest race was when he got stuck in 5th gear, a third of the way into the race, made two pitstops while stuck in 5th gear, and finished 2nd in the race -- staggering! I remember that race well and as soon as the gearbox failed I noticed because I'd been watching the gear indicator on the display and it was soon evident his gearbox was stuck. What did Schumacher do -- he immediately changed his lines to favor maintaining speed through corners instead of the typical late apex which pinches you off too much when you can't be in the desired gear. Smart, fast reflexes, and determined enough to do some shady things when needed -- there are gentlemen racers and winning racers but not both!

When I was a young student (17) at musicians institute (bass institute of technology) in Hollywood, CA, Adrian did a show there and that was my first experience hearing him. I was mesmerized. I had no idea a guitar could do that. That was 1991 and I’m still in awe of Adrian today. I even wrote a letter to his official fan club back then after seeing him at MI. He wrote me back on a post card. A L these years later I still have that post card. Thanks for thirty years of inspiration Adrian.

Saw him at the Snitzer concert hall in Portland, Oregon back in the mid-1990's... It was the "G3" tour with Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, and Joe Satriania...but I had never heard of Adrian Legg before...he made it G4!!!! I remember when he was tuning, and said "I bet none of you know who I am?"... And a guy a few rows down from me in the balcony said "Adrian Legg!!". He was playing an Ovation guitar back then, and made is sound like angels playing miracles on my brain. The closest I can compare him to, was seeing Sabicas, the great flamenco guitar player at Royce Hall UCLA in 1982? (I was on LSD at the time). Adrian Legg is a musical and electronic genius and healer - a musical shaman of sorts. He stole the show that night, and the "G3" I had paid to see sounded like shite after seeing and hearing Maestro Legg perform his magical music...!

Looks to be a Mid '70s Ovation electric. He always modifies them with Irish Banjo stops so he can lock each string to 2 tones, top and bottom. Watch as he reaches behind the head-stock now and then .

+Cyrus D As much as i agree with some points todays F1 cars are not slow. 360 kph at monza is not slow. To make them harder to drive, The engineers have had to give them less downforce. No traction control etc. Notice how top speeds are the same as what the older gen cars were but the lap times are really slow. Thats because they're still making 700-800 odd horsepower like the older cars were. 2017 rule changes will not make F1 better because the fans don't know what they want. F1 2014 and 15 is what they begged for when vettel was dominating and its what they got. Now they're complaining and when the next shake up happens they'll still complain. Most of F1 fans are not race car drivers and are not even above average drivers, thats why they do not appreciate it. Personally all Formula 1 needs is a few more teams to be competitive Mercedes, Ferrari , Redbull , Williams and perhaps Honda fighting for the championship would be pretty good. Sorry for the paragraph

+Cyrus D Plus the fans are assholes. They have the nerve to say someone like Kimi raikkonen is average. Plus people are still saying schumacher only won because he had the ferrari. Even after 1996, 97, 2005 and 2006. Even this year with vettel with his three wins. Sorry lol i'm venting because im angry about the fans of Formula one man...

Despite being out-scored by Rosberg, Michael had a very good year this season I thought. His best results were four 5th places and a 4th place. To put that in perspective, Rosbergs best finishes were two 5th places and Massa only managed a bunch of 5th places as well. If Mercedes can claw back a couple of tenths over their rivals, Schumacher can fight for podiums and maybe add to that 91 :)

@jkamwal2 hahaha i touch a nerve,you beloved Schumi is not doing well ah!!,not longer has the car to do it eh!,not longer can reing supreme,his position is not longer divine,instead what Schumi has risen is questions about his true ability,more and more people have being enligthed,he´s short of numbers, how ironic.It have to be say some still blindfolded by Shumaker propaganda.I´ll like to please you selfish-arrogant "request" but the truth have to be say.So keep breathing from the scar,Bye,bye.

@TOXICTRACE ok, you're a schumacher-hater, aren't you?? montoya is talented, ok, I'm not telling the opposite, but to be a F1 champ and beat drivers such as schumacher or hakkinen you need the experience too, that's just my opinion..

@oatmealboy ...I think you got too much wheat at breakfast, don't repeat like a parrot what the commentartor says at 4:19 "this is a smoother run than last lap" ..not so smooth when you hear carefully at 5:06 ... "huuhh!! ... a little correction there .. I think he miss the apex there.." So in reallity, its not "One of the smoothest Suzuka laps ever." as you imply, its just a fast lap attained by and experienced driver who happend to enjoy the best intergalactic spaceship of those days.
@toxictrace6775
@toxictrace6775 14 жыл бұрын
I also would like to point out at 4:36 "what was that" ?!,Well that´s called aerodynamics, which it will give to an experience F1 driver,the necesary and absolutly confidence to take a chicane that literally becomes a corner at that speed. So it will be foolish to say: "that´s not the car, is the driver" Oh wait a minute someone did say that. I wonder what they say about his blinding performance last year. Is the car is not up for it?,he was not in the mood?!.

@TOXICTRACE Yes ROKIE season JPM produce such of lap being his FIRST TIME AT SUZUKA. How someone can overlook that. But oh no "Michael Schumacher was the fastet man in GP racing. So much better than everyone else",Michael Schumacher is a genius!" Blah,blah,blah.The inavility to think from the vast mayority of Schumy fans is as such as to have brown their nouses.Actually someone have that as name. How ironic.THE TRUTH PREVAILS MONTOYEAH.
