I’m through purchasing decor, (except awesome finds in thrift stores). You gave me lots of ideas how I can use pieces that I already have. Fun!

My grandparents were in the depression and had nothing, so naturally their kids knew nothing about decorating for Christmas whatsoever, as food was more important, My mom had no nostalgic memories of Christmas and so neither did my sister or I, there was a tree, no lights & only about 10 ornaments, that's it. So my sister and I had to make up our own traditions w/our own kids. So you are fortunate to have a family history to remember. I live in a 1910 farmhouse on 80 acres and I have a wood burning fireplace in my kitchen , and a window seat, so I have a cute kitchen to decorate with. Also have a 1930's art-deco stove(For décor only) a 1935 Frigidaire & a Hoosier cabinet. Your kitchen is beautiful!

I just put my mom's village on my counters yesterday! I had no where else to display it! Too funny! I've been doing a lot of "different" things this year with my decorating and embracing that it's not what everyone else is doing it!
