When I’m at home drinking beer, it’s over ice. It keeps it cold. However, I never drink beer over ice in public. 😊 🍺

Fosters was nowhere near the biggest selling beer in Australia at the time. Victoria Bitter (VB) was the most popular beer in Australia through much of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. FYI Fosters, Carlton Draught and VB are all brewed by Carlton and United Breweries but Fosters is all but impossible to find in Australia (and it’s been that way for a couple of decades). Cheers!

I enjoy the content and love the show but honestly, why would you judge beer if you have no education in beer? Your rating could stop someone from buying a beer they might love and only because you have no clue what you are talking about. Again, love the series, the exposure, but think about what you are saying about someone’s work

Hello, hello What's Brewing PA Glen. The American Homebrewers Association IS having an annual gathering this year. Correct, we're not hosting our annual Homebrew Con in 2024 as we need to reimagine that conference model to be less expensive to attend and less expensive to host. Still, AHA at the Great American Beer Festival (October 10-12 in Denver, CO) will be an incredible experience for AHA members at the very festival AHA members started back in 1982. In addition to Headline Speakers, BJCP exams, Bootcamp for Club Officers, and hosting the National Homebrew Competition Awards on 10/10, we will have Homebrew Headquarters. This exclusive AHA member only area includes homebrew rockstars personally serving their beer, Pro-Am entries being served, You Be the Judge area featuring BJCP judges, Homebrew Marketplace, live brewing demonstrations, and more). Full details will be shared before July ticket sales open, and for a high-level summary, check out www.homebrewersassociation.org/aha-events/homebrew-hq-gabf/. Also, to add to the question of how people can get started in homebrewing, join the AHA for ongoing reasons and rewards to homebrew. HomebrewersAssociation.org. Cheers, Julia Herz, Executive Director of the American Homebrewers Association. P.S. Love onion rings too.

Fosters is "American" for Australian beer. Look for VB or 4X but I don't think they are exported

Another great Finger Lakes area brewery is Lucky Hare Brewing. It's about 30 minutes from Ithaca. Everything from my flight was amazing, and even the cans I bought for the road tasted great once I got home.

Great episode. A little bit more about nitrogen dispense: it was invented by Guinness to replicate the mouthfeel and look of a cask-conditioned ale poured through a beer engine. By eliminating the work that casks require, Guinness had an edge in selling a quick and easy replacement. The beer is carbonated with C02 to 85%, and then finished with nitrogen. Nitrogen doesn't dissolve well in beer and thus comes out of solution readily, creating the creamy, fine-bubbled head.

Great episode. I was at Troegs this past summer and it was a good tour. It is a good beer. Definitely can't recommend Mad Elf around Christmas unless you want the room to spin - it is that dangerous (yes, you've been warned).
