Increasing your relief won’t do anything to Upper frets that are at in and around the neck pocket. This is because the bolts connecting the neck to the body keeps the neck from bending in and around the neck pocket, adding relief makes the upper 1/3 of the neck bend upwards away from the body of the guitar, which won’t do much to anything past the 9th fret, likely doing nothing to the 15th or 16th. Raising your bridge was definitely the right choice here. Glad that fixed your issue!

Not a real solution imo. Sure, you can get used to an action change, and high action really isn’t that much harder to play. But still, if you have an action you like you shouldn’t HAVE to play with a high action on just one guitar from your collection just to do a standard full step bend.

Two years? My high bends choke out. My fretboard is as flat as the earth (😂). I’m gonna try raising the action. It’s a fender type bridge and I have a 14 inch radius so it’s gonna suck.

If you have this problem with a 14’ radius i’d first check my neck relief. Rest the bottom guitar on your foot with the neck pointing perpendicular to the ground and look down the fretboard, If the neck bends down towards you near the first 3 or 4 frets, loosen the trussrod, if it bends up in that area, tighten it. If your neck is dead straight and your bends are still choking, raise your action by half a millimeter at the bridge, and if that doesn’t fix it, you might have a high fret that’s causing the fret buzz. Also, the heavier the strings, the harder you can pluck then without buzz or choking, if you’re using strings lighter than 9s or 10s, moving up a gauge will help. For me, on a flat fret board, .75-1.25mm is enough action to eliminate any buzz, but on a 9.5 i prefer 1.75-2.25. If you’ve raised your action and straightened your neck and made sure your frets are level, and your bends are still choking on the earlier frets 1st-7th, loosen the truss-rod a quarter turn, and if that doesn’t work raise your action at the bridge again. If at the end of the day you have to put your action ridiculously high to get rid of the buzz, take your guitar into a tech and explain to them the issue, and that you want to prioritize getting rid of the buzz while still having your preferred action. If you’ve done all of this and it’s still buzzing, try changing your technique to pick softer, or just get a new guitar. If you hold the pick with less pressure and loosen your wrist, it’s a lot harder to pick with a lot of force. Good luck!

You can buy (or just borrow if you ask nicely) allen keys on any guitar shop in the world. I lost my gibson pipe wrench once and just asked the clerk if I could borrow a wrench.
