Do not let this distract you from the fact that Jason Wu, Assistant Director, Global Market Analysis,IMF stated "November doesn't help" as his closing remark at May 2024 global fiscal analysis report panel, r-Breton Woods Committee. What did Wu meant by that oddly specific remark, is it a clear reference to Trump winning further initiating a downwards spiral for global growth rates. Are the elections pre determined? Is now the time to short? For further information kindly reference the link below. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5S7omqAo7dmlZY

It's not a must you have Ghallywood. You can be a Ghanaian and shot Nollywood films. Just like Canadians are doing movies and it's still categorised as Hollywood. Having a wood is not a must. Note: this is coming from a business concern perspective, not any ridiculous nationalistic mindset.
@anthonyebube1449Ай бұрын
Nigeria only has a Nollywood. What you are referring to as division of the movie industry in Nigeria is not a division at all but different groups of Producers but under the Nollywood. That is the Film Industry in Nigeria. Every actor whether, films in Igbo language, Yoruba language,Hausa language etc they all producer under Nollywood and that is the reason for the phenomenal growth of Nollywood to the whole world. Honestly, nothing stops other actors from the African continent joining the Nollywood but this African mentality of rivalry, removes other non Nigerian actors from joining the Nollywood. Just consider this most lovable Cameroonian beauty Shaznay Okawa, she is a brilliant actress, loved immensely by Nigerians 90% Nigerians thought she is a Nigerian until she gave her biography. She made her name internationally in Nollywood. She lives in Nigeria. Hollywood is what made America and every actor from all over the world run to be a part of Hollywood. Nothing is wrong with that but Africans? No, they fight and ridicule one another. Nigerians love Ghanaians so much to the extent too many do not know they are not Nigerians until they began to introduce supremacy, who is best, who learn from who, who is is the originator etc causing their industry to collapse.

You have not pointed out why Ghana movie industry failed which was their GREED. The actors thought that they have arrived so, they decided to connive with the government to place a high fees of 10 thousand dollars fees on Nigerian producers in Ghana .and that led to the Exodus of the producers,hence, their fall.

Madam do your research Ghana movie industry was controlled, produced and financed by Nigerians back then until they fell out with Nigerians. Nigerians pulled out that’s why they don’t have a vibrant industry. The cinemas in Ghana are owned by Nigerians. There was a certain Ghanaian actress that was mucking nollywood that Nigeria producers don’t pay attention on the actors following the script. they even accused Nigeria producers that they leave there hotels in Ghana with out paying, the Ghanaian actors began to feel that they are better than Nigeria actors, there government hight tax Nigeria producers. Base on that Nigeria withdraw from them, is the results you see today.

One point you made is, unlike the ghanaian movie industry, older Nigerian actors and actresses are taking the back seats by playing more elderly roles, like fathers, mothers, aunties and uncles, thereby creating space for the younger ones to go in.

Let me explain the nigeria film industry for you...... Nigeria has two film industry....... known as Nollywood from southern nigeria which y'all know and kannywood from northern Nigeria.......due to different cultures...... southern nigeria are a bit westernised why northern Nigeria are islamised like the middle east or north Africa......In southern nigeria..... movies that has the likes of Destiny atiko and the rest are which yall watch on Gotv is called African magic or old Nollywood...... meanwhile the likes of funke Akindele, Ramsey noah, RMD which we all watch on streaming platform with high level qualities are known as Nollywood or the term New Nollywood.....these ones has genres like action,crime thriller just like what yall will in the developed world with high funding,stunts and all..... Nigeria movie industry has different bodies.....we have yoruba movie, igbo movie, asaba movie so destiny atiko can been seen in one of this meanwhile Nollywood is seen like the big brother of the industry..... where high level of world class talent are seen.....thats how nigeria movie industry is while the north categories there own as kannywood

Is it by force to act when there a lot of other careers?❤❤😂😂why don't you compare Cameroon with Ghana we might be the same size. Ghanaians are trying. We are small but mighty❤❤❤
@DayanaEscobar-n3q2 ай бұрын
Ghana is small and empty. I don't see anything successfull about Ghana or whatever they're doing. If you can name ONE success Ghanaians or Ghana has enjoyed since 1994. There's NONE. No Sporting victories,no economic growth,no successes in music,movies, Skits etc. Ghanaians have NOTHING to be upbeat or proud about. The social media illiteratracy by major Ghanaian industry players is a major drawback for Ghana. It's gonna take at least 50 years for Ghana to get to where Nigeria is today.Their music industry is as good as dead right now. The reason for the death of Ghanaian movie industry is the targetted tax on Nigerian film Directors, Producers,Actors, technicians if they want to shoot a movie in Ghana.The Ghana Film Association imposed a $10,000 tax on specifically Nigerian film makers. Nigerians called their bluff and Ghana is paying the price for the irresposibility of a few Ghanaians who were blinded by a false sense of their own importance. They felt the Nigerians were making a lot of money from Ghana without checking out the facts that the market was really in Nigeria. Paying $10,000 wasn't gonna be a problem for the Nigerians but the attempt at extortion was too much for the Nigerians to stomach,so they walked away knowing was bound to happen would not be good for Ghana but the shortsighted Ghanaians were dumb and greedy. Within 2 years the Ghanaian movie industry was dead and buried. The Nigerians couldn't tolerate that kind of envy-induced tagetting and so they walk away, leaving Ghana with a movie industry that's effectively in the toilet today.

Most of those popular Ghanaian movies that you're talking about are Nollywood movies but they made them in Ghana and used many Ghanaian actors and actresses and added few Nollywood actors and actresses in those movies. The Nollywood producers did that to EXPAND the Nollywood Movie Industry. The real Ghanaian movies are the local ones called Kumawood. Ghallywood collapsed after Nollywood producers stop producing and investing in the Ghana Ghallywood movies because of high Tax from the Ghana government. 80% of those popular Ghallywood movies from 2006 are Nollywood movies.
