Carrying a couple of tongue extenders for your trailer would make a world of difference launching from a beach. Not difficult at all to fabricate.

Few things. Buy your own tow strap. I have pulled plenty of people forward to get them out but NONE of them had their own strap. Consider too the low tide will shorten your day of riding. I also launch at the Dunedin marina with public trailer parking. That was nice because after a long day of riding we walked across the street to eat, get ice cream and walk around. Did you see my other videos about the tides and such?

There are ramps in the area. The attraction here is it's designated for pwc launching and parking. During peak times people pitch in to give cars a pull if they get stuck. I pulled 3 out in 2 weeks!

Check to see if anyone can help you. Bring your own tow strap and one of those folding shovels. You can buy them both at Harbor Freight, Northern tools or 4 wheel parts. I saw plenty of mini vans and cars launching. I saw other people helping pull a few out and in the middle of the week I pulled a few out.

We also spent some time After Michael's devastation. Thanks for sharing. Carabelle has an amazing beach as well further down. Our opportunities have been slim since March of 2020. @Freespiritblair
@Freespiritblair 2 жыл бұрын
During season it can be a challenge if you get there after 11. Be certain to pay attention to the low tide table. Remember the tide goes out and the time for low tide is not when it starts, but when it's expected to be at it's lowest. If you prefer to use a boat ramp then the one at Dunedin marina is nice, steep and wide with good parking for $10 a day. I used that a few times during the week which let us stay out in low tide, see the sunset, get loaded on the trailer and then walk across the road to downtown Dunedin and eat dinner out. Plus, I had already paid my parking/launch fee so I had a prime parking spot. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Whats on your bunks that it slides the easily?
@Freespiritblair
@Freespiritblair 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ed! They are a high density plastic strip that are screwed into the bunks. They are sold in packs of 6 short strips to or for a boat in lengths of of 4-5 feet. They are already drilled and counter sunk so the screws are not going to touch the bottom of the hull. I have them on my waverunner and boat trailers. Let me know if you have trouble finding them and I'll get you the info. Happy New Year!

@@Freespiritblair it looks like nylon slides, I've seen those for boats now that you mention it. It doesn't scratch the hull if sand gets between?
@Freespiritblair
@Freespiritblair 2 жыл бұрын
@@MrMotor11 Actually, I'm sure sand could. In our situation it's not really a consideration since the waverunner has been on the beach. I do pressure wash/ hand wash/flush after each ride at home. My pressure washer gets used more than my lawn mower! This spring when my Four Winns boat is up and running I'm putting a set of these on the boat trailer bunks too. I'm putting up a series of videos of the rebuilding of that boat too as I go. Thanks for watching! What part of the country are you riding in?

Yes. Plenty of people do it. Just walk it out before backing down. I'd recommend getting your own two strap anyway in case you do need a tug or you can use it to assist someone else. The following week from Dunedin I went to Panama City Beach and used my strap twice to pull others off the sandy ramp by the Hathaway bridge on 98. Have a great time!

It can probably do it. The important thing to do is go to harbor freight and buy a tow strap. That way if you need to ask for a tug out you already have the strap. Just don't wrap it around a tie rod or axle. Use the lower control arm or see if you have the shipping hooks on the front.
